Famous Chinese Newspaper People’s Daily claimed on Thursday that Skype and some other Internet Calling services are declared Illegal in China and are going to be banned. On Friday Skype officials has announced that this news is not correct and we are not banned in China.
If this news came out to be true Skype will be the new addition in list of many famous websites that are already banned in China. Popular sites like Youtube, Twitter, Hotmail, Blogger, Wordpress are banned in China and Skype maybe also included soon in it. however Skype officials has denied it and it call the possibility of ban almost non. Skype is used by the relatives of many Chinese that are in other countries for Studying or Job to talk to them free of cost online.
