Galaxy Nexus wins Windows Phone, but user not wins

Microsoft has caused controversy by promoting Smoked by Windows Phone. The campaign initially created during CES 2012, the evangelist's platform, Ben Rudolph, challenged owners of other smartphones to perform certain tasks faster than HTC Ultimate, showing the practicality and the shortcuts that the system offers. If you win, you win $ 100, but very few managed the feat.

The Smoked by Windows Phone was so successful that appeared on one of Microsoft's stores in the United States. The owner of a Galaxy Nexus, Sahas Katta, won a Windows Phone in a task that was to check the weather forecast in two different cities. Everything was prepared for the seller of the challenge Microsoft - two Live Tiles were all ready to be seen on screen, but the Android user used the same tactic.

The owner of Galaxy Nexus was still smarter and got a split second advantage over Windows Phone disabling the lock screen of Android. While the seller needed to slide the screen up on your Windows Phone, Sahas Katta had to just push a button. As a reward he would gain a notebook valued at $ 1,000 and a smartphone, but it was not what happened.

Although faster, Microsoft said that he lost the challenge but should check the forecast for two different cities in two different states, something that had not been said before. After publishing the story in several international sites and effect on social networking, Ben Rudolph apologized publicly on Twitter and provided the prizes. The question is if the Android user actually win prizes if not all the noise.
