Born February 24, 1955 in San Francisco, the son of the then university students Abdulfattah Jandali and Joanne Schieble, was adopted by the couple Paul and Clara Jobs and raised in Mountain View, California.
Upon completion of his studies in the second degree, was hired as a temporary employee at HP, where he met his future partner and partner Steve Wozniak. In 1972, he enrolled at the University of Reed, who left after one semester. He was hired as coach after two years at Atari. He worked for the company long enough to make a spiritual journey to India, where he converted to Buddhism.
On 1 April 1976 with Steve Wozniak and Ronald Wayne called an investor, he founded Apple Computer Inc., intended to produce computers for personal use. Eleven days later hit stores the first creation of the company, the Apple I and Apple II the following year, the first machine to gain personal business success. In 1982 came the Apple Lisa in 1984 and one of his greatest creations, the Macintosh.
Jobs was ousted from Apple by John Sculley in 1986, head of Pepsi that he had hired.
Far from the giant apple, he founded the NeXT Computer and acquired animation division of Lucasfilm, Pixar. In 1997 the company returned to the executive who helped found. Under his leadership, Apple has canceled contracts for the licensing of their computers and reduced its product line.
In 1998 the company launched its first product under the new administration Jobs, the first-generation iMac that featured bright colors and initiating the all-in-one. In 2001 came the two main products in the decade: OS X and the famous iPod.
