World does not need another MS Paint: CEO of Evernote

Phil Libin, CEO of Evernote  says "We received feedback,  we do not think the world needs another Paint".

The executive gave an interview to U.S. website The Verge where comments on the applications of those who use the services of Evernote notes (i) and scribbles Skitch. "We have to draw some boundaries and ask ourselves what Evernote is not? What Skitch is not it? "Says Phil. As an example, he cites several requests to add brushes and filters to photos.

After all, this was never the goal to create the Skitch. I remember using it in an earlier version for the Mac had several configurations to climb the images to your own server via FTP or some photo hosting known. However, never implemented new drawing tools to make it closer to the Paint, the legendary picture editor from Microsoft.

Keeping it simple seems to be one of the mantras of the company Evernote, owner of Skitch since August last year. Libin uses technology to take a picture of a plate and make notes on it. Thus, it avoids sending an email to the huge design team explaining how the card should be - pointing errors therefore.

Recently, new applications were launched Skitch for iPhone and iPad. There is also an exclusive version for Windows 8 Metro UI with visual, which I consider extremely useful. In August the Moleskine notebook was presented with some features of Evernote more to digitize annotations.

Anyone out there also use Skitch in everyday life?
