Android now having 50% of US Smartphone share

ComScore announced yesterday (03/04) a new quarterly report from market division among manufacturers of smartphones and mobile operating systems. The Android growing at a fast pace and earns more than 850,000 users per day, is already used in most smartphones in the U.S.. Samsung still leads the sales of phones, but Apple was the one who grew the most in the period between November and February.

The survey covers more than 30,000 mobile users in the United States. In this sample, 50.1% are owners of smartphones with Google's operating system. The green robot who was also the highest growth: increased by 3.2 percentage points since November, while iOS increased 1.5 points to 30.2% in February. RIM still embittering the loss of your BlackBerry market and data shows that Windows Phone is not helping Microsoft gain more users, only 3.9% run the system from Redmond.

Beautiful my chart, right?
Among the manufacturers, Samsung is present in 1 of 4 phones, but Apple has risen from 11.2% in November to 13.5% in February, ranking third in the rankings. LG (2), Motorola (4) and HTC (5) complete the list. Nokia, which has never had much appeal in the U.S. market, even on the list, even with the Finnish efforts to promote the new Windows Phone devices Lumia.

Even with the fragmentation and lack of updates, much criticized points in the system Google Android shows we still have room to grow - and now has Instagram. The Windows Phone, with almost 1 ½ years of life, continues to have very low sales. Is there room for a new mobile system or Microsoft really too late?
