WHO says that even cell phones cause cancer

If you're on the latest news of technology, probably have read today in some sites (probably many people will read it tomorrow in the headlines of newspapers) alarmist texts mentioning that the WHO has confirmed that cell phones cause cancer. The World Health Organization, an organization respected personality in the area, released a report today that it has generated such reports. But the report says nothing that you do not already know for some time.

The IARC, which is the arm of the organization responsible for researching cancer, did a study that involved 31 scientists from 14 countries. They analyzed a large amount of data and research done so far. Look, they made no new study or anything, just gave the findings of hundreds of others. With this, the group came to the conclusion that it is possible that a type of brain cancer is linked to radiation from mobile phones. And this caused the headlines that you see scattered sites around the country.

But what the vehicles probably will forget to mention newspapers is that the WHO also says that this is only a theory and that for it to be proven with certainty, studies are needed longer and more detailed the effects of radiation from mobile phones. Something that everybody already knows that since the fear of an increased occurrence of cancer in cellphone users has emerged.

One of the researchers at IARC also repeats what we've heard ever since, just in case it is good to take precautions and shorten time to talk with the phone next to ear, as when using Bluetooth headsets or send text messages.

So until such long-term studies are completed, we will try to remain calm.
