Google acknowledges and gives you information about objects and places using your camera phone

You're traveling and want to know more about specific place, know your history and other information, but have no travel guide around? What do you think of taking a picture of where you are and quickly get the information about the place? Yeah. Google has invented an application that does this.

Google Goggles is the app in question. It locates information from various locations around the world using your camera phone to do reconnaissance. And beyond the local, the tool also works with books, DVDs, sights, art works, products, text and even print ads in magazines and newspapers.

For those who already knew the service, the novelty of this new version is that Google Goggles now translate text into another language. Simply take a picture of a menu, for example, in another language, for the application to translate for you.
Follow the steps and find anything through your images:
Step 1. Search on the Google Android Market Goggles (or in iTunes by clicking here)

Step 2. Click "Install" and wait for the download and installation;
Step 3. When opening the application, click "Accept";

Step 4. The application will show through a tutorial which items you can use for image recognition. Among them there are compatibilities with: Books, DVDs, Tourist sites, logos, contact information, art, business, products, bar code and text. Click "Continue" below to jump around the tutorial;

Step 5. Enable history search by clicking on "Enable history";
