Step 1. First you must have installed on your computer Adobe Photoshop CS. When you open it, click the last icon on the navigation bar on the left corner, or use the shortcut keys Ctrl + Shift + M to open the Adobe Image Ready.
Step 2. When this program open, check below for a box that has written the word "Animation." Otherwise, go to the "Window" located at the top of the screen, then select "Animation".
Step 3. Go to the menu and click on "File" and then "Open" and open your chosen image to be turned into GIF. It is interesting to open two images of the same character, for example, using the same format, however, each performing a different action.
Step 4. Using the side toolbar click "Move", which is symbolized by a small arrow cursor to one side. Then move the second image to the window first, so the second it is under the other image. In this case the second image is a little larger than the first. To correct this flaw, just use the shortcut Ctrl + T to resize. Next, pull aside the first photo so that the bottom photo no longer appears. Then just click on a small green button at the top of the screen.
Step 5. Go to the animation box and click the Duplicate Current Frame ". This option is present in the penultimate icon, from left to right.
Step 6. Now, in the right corner of the screen where there is a small table with the layer options, History, and Actions, clear visibility of a layer by clicking the little eye icon next to an image.
Step 7. Returning to box Animation is time to set the seconds for the image to move. Beneath the images is written 0 sec. Click there and change the time, which varies according to the preference of each person. The only caution is that one should take the time to be the same for both images. For example, if given 5 sec. for the first image, the same should be done on Monday.
Step 8. Click the Play icon, located below the images, and note that the enlarged image is moving properly. If so, go to the first box, located in the upper right corner of the screen, and click the "Optimize." Change the JPEG image format to GIF.
Step 9. Go to the top toolbar, click "File" and then "Save Optimized As". Name the new file and voila! You'll get your hands on a totally original animated GIF.
Putting gif on MSN
Step 10. Open your MSN, go to the menu and select "Tools." Then go to "emoticons" and then "Create". Then just find the picture saved on your computer, set a shortcut that can be a word, number or symbol, and click OK. Hence, the GIF can already be used in their conversations.
Putting gif on Orkut
Step 11. Open Orkut in the new version on the homepage and click on "Profile" and then "Edit" then "Edit Text".
Step 12. If you want you can write something or just simply put the image. In the text box click the "Insert Image", the last in the top toolbar. Then you should choose the image of your file and click "Upload." The animated image will load and then be displayed on screen.
