Mac in 5% computers worldwide

If Was alive today Steve Jobs would be very happy with the most recent figures from consultancy Needham & Co for the PC market worldwide. For the first time in 15 years,  apple computers came to the house by 5%. Of every 100 machines sold worldwide, 5 have the shiny Apple logo in any region of the carcass.

The calculations show good analyst Charlie Wolf prospect of sales of the Mac line of computers from PCs Apple moved 24.6 last quarter. In comparison, the overall PC market grew 5.3% in the world. Apple could have growth almost five times greater than the overall market, relieving CEO Tim Cook, who became president of Apple after Steve Jobs resigned on August 24.

At last
In his analysis, Wolf says it was expected cannibalization of PCs by the iPad, introduced last year and renovated in 2011 with the right camera and other industrial design. But what has emerged is that the tablet cannibalization of Apple Macs does not perform, but even on computers running Windows. Who took the worse with the arrival of the iPad was Microsoft, Apple's OS X remains the same level of market share it once was.

Mac growth was even greater in the field of corporate computers. In this market has been advancing at 43.8%, versus only 4.8% in the computers for personal and domestic use.

Do companies have discovered the usefulness of the Mac also in business? Usually Windows computers have the advantage in this market for the price and the various possibilities for customization of the hardware, but it seems that the apple fell from grace in the departments.
