T-Mobile Nokia 710 Review

4shared delete suspicious files and accounts

The shutdown of Megaupload promoted by the FBI last week brings up the discussion about the legality of sites that provide file sharing. Yesterday  Tecnoblog FileSonic reported that along with other notable services of the type began to block the sharing feature - the user needs to login to download files. The 4Shared has not yet reached that point, but started cleaning the servers to avoid future problems.

In recent days the 4Shared started deleting files and user accounts. The company has not made any statement on the subject, but it is fair to say that following the playbook of political correctness erasing third-party content shared without permission.

In addition to deleting the files, the site is also in the process of closing the affiliate program that maintained, allowing local companies to sell premium services of 4Shared charging on the currency. In Brazil there is a list of nine companies authorized to sell on behalf of 4Shared, according to the page "Resellers" their site. Some are corporate and everything, as required by Brazilian law.

Brazil is among the countries that access the 4Shared. According to Gizmodo Brazil, access from the country accounted for 12.6% of total site traffic, a figure only beaten by Indonesia. Statistics page of 4Shared says that Brazil leads with 16.7 million hits followed by Indonesia with 7.7 million hits. However, the numbers appear to be updated.

I tried to contact the staff of 4Shared for comment. If the answer to come here can be sure that the article will be updated. In the meantime, I recommend that readers use to share files 4Shared seeking similar service. To this end I usually resort to CloudApp, which offers a good client for Mac and a good web service for those using Windows.

New Google privacy policy: spread your data across all services

Last Night Google announced the streamlining of its privacy policy that says it will now include 60 to 70 different documents related to the privacy of the company's services. This change, which only comes into effect on March 1, also says that from that day Google users will have their data shared among the company's services, willingly or not.

What that means, Google's own words, is that "you can provide a more personalized experience." In practice, it is only unifying data services not only to provide results that are more personal and more accurate but also more targeted ads and therefore can yield more in the end. See a brief explanation in the video below, in English.

Obviously Google is a company and as such have to aim at profit. These changes reflect a lot of this line of thought, profit more with the help of more personalized advertisements. And who does not want to use Google still has a little over a month to withdraw their data from company servers through tools DataLiberation.

When Google announced that the results would include shared links from Google in my circles, I did not like, but at least there exists the option to disable. Here, if you do not want to have your search history, watched videos or location (for users of Google Latitude on Android phones) linked to your Google account, the only option is to use no service to them. No opt-out.

If it's good or bad, will the preference of each. Gizmodo U.S. think Google is contrary to his mantra "Do not be evil", but I'm not as extreme as well. I think if I still have the option to disable the social search, do not care about Google's data raise the rest of what I seek in my account, provided that such data are well protected and provide an advantage.

Google Maps now displays emergency alerts

It was announced this week a Google initiative to bring more information about emergency situations. Through Google Maps (or Google Maps, as some prefer) the company will inform emergency alerts and security in areas shown on Maps. In special weather conditions that merit the attention of the Internet.

According to Google, institutions recognized for warnings of earthquakes, public safety and weather conditions provide relevant data to Google Maps. Among these institutions include the National Climate Centre of the United States and the USGS, National Center U.S. Geological Survey also.

Alert provided by Google Maps
When you search for a particular subject in Maps (for example, flooding in Indiana) will come face to face with a warning in the sidebar. When the user clicks it is a message explaining what has occurred or is projected to occur in the near future. Google also informs through small bar-style "progress bar", how severe the damage may be conferred by the emergency event.

Google offers the main Public Alerts powered by Google Maps, to centralize all active alerts at this time. Still have a lot related to the United States, but gradually the trend is that more research institutions and government entities such as the River Operations Center has partnered with Google to bring this information utility for users of Internet.

"We want to make people's access to critical emergency information during a crisis easier by using online tools they use every day. By incorporating data from public warning from sources of authority to the Google Maps we aim to simplify the search process for emergency information. "

App Inventor wins hands open source version of the MIT

Recently discontinued by Google, App Inventor soon have new home at MIT. And what's better: will be open source, allowing developers to contribute to the tool.

Created from a partnership between Google and MIT, App Inventor was a tool to create Android applications quickly and easily, just dragging components onto the layout area. Unfortunately, the App Inventor eventually discontinued by Google, leaving it with many beginning developers without having a starting point to begin developing for Android.

However, MIT came to the rescue and is already preparing a version of App Inventor, this time under an open source license. The strategy is not only to allow the code of App Inventor is updated by the community, but that other educational institutions and businesses to create their own versions of the system.

Importantly, this first moment App Inventor Edu MIT will not be open to developers. The official justification is that "we do not want to distract developers from MIT in its efforts to complete and launch large-scale public servant." All right then.

Nokia celebrates 1.5 billion mobile phones in the world

More than ten years after launching the S40 platform, Nokia celebrates in January selling the device number 1.5 billion. It happened in Brazil: in an event promoted by the company in partnership with Magazine Luiza, a consumer has received from the hands of Luis Almir Narcizo, president of Nokia, a unit of the Nokia 303 Asha.

The S40 operating system is adopted in the basic and intermediate devices of the brand. In its latest iteration, offers easy access to social networks like Orkut, Facebook and Twitter. The system also features the Nokia Browser, browser that compresses pages to use less data - similar to what Opera offers many years.

"We are proud to be a reference when people look for the best phone for them, is a product of entry or a complete smartphone. Much of this success is due to the volume of S40 devices sold here, with the best value for money "- Almir Luiz Narciso, president of Nokia.

Some people turn up your nose in the betting for Nokia S40. After attending the Nokia World and talk to the VP of mobile phones must say that my bias has decreased. The S40 is something to those who have failed have a way to access the internet and keep in touch with friends by phone. The idea is to popularize the simplest cell, as the market matures, selling smartphones for that audience already knows the products of Nokia.

The question is whether there's still time to wait this one billion people that the company plans to put Nokia hands before delivering the next financial results. This week the company reported operating loss of $ 1.4 billion in the fourth quarter of fiscal 2011, down 31% on smartphones running MeeGo, Symbian and Windows Phone. Fall painful.

Google+ Doors are open for teens

In an interesting change of strategy, Google announced today that teenagers - before Google+ banned from entering because of age - may participate in the social network. The move came nearly seven months after the official launch in June last year, and was accompanied by some well-deserved security warnings about privacy and information sharing.

Justin Bieber may have a Google account + now.
From now who are 13 years or more and have a Google account can now create a Google Profile + if you want, just log in and fill in your data. Since the launch of Google + this has been one of the most criticized, something that did not make much sense if you remember that on orkut that the minimum age to create a profile is also 13.

Allied to this, Bredley Horowitz, Google's co-director of the +, also announced the launch of a security center (in English only for now) specifically for the younger audience, which is known more than he should share in any social network. The site will not only teach beginners how their parents or guardians to deal with information sharing on the network and how to use it so that no one take any risks.

Review: Samsung Omnia W, Windows cheapest Phone in market

Released in the country shortly after the HTC Ultimate, Omnia W is the  Samsung's first bet with Windows Phone in Brazil. It comes with a 1.4 GHz processor, screen and Super AMOLED 3.7, 8 GB of internal storage and already out of the box with version 7.5 of the system.

Here he appeared in Brazil costs $ 1300, dropping to current R $ 1.2 thousand in certain stores. In a country where high-end phones Miramar in figures of around R $ 2 thousand, as a phone that costs 3 / 5 this value can stand out from others? Or he can not? I spent two weeks testing the Omnia W and you can see what I found below.

Design
On the left side are the volume control (which also drives the music controls are touching if any), are on the right side button on / off the screen and the camera and at the top and bottom are, respectively, sockets for headphones and miniUSB. The screen comes with a VGA camera at the top and back buttons, Home (the only physical button on the front) and search the bottom.

As cell bars, the Omnia W does not offer something very different than we're used to seeing. It has a design with curved sides of a plastic that are a bit slippery, forcing a firmer grip for me. At the rear, beyond the camera, speaker and flash, there is a metal part on the cover of battery to be deduced NFC, as it connects to a pin on the device. But there is no application that takes advantage of it yet.

W The Omnia has a construction that gives the impression of being cheap, something I expected because of the price, but he was until very tough: even with some bumps in sharp corners, did not notice scratches.

Screen and interface
With 3.7 inch AMOLED screen, the Omnia W is not less than exceptional in this regard. Even with the screen brightness in half it stands to display vivid colors and clarity respectable for the price it costs. Against the sun she also did reasonably well, without being too reflective. And side by side with the iPhone 4S, both with maximum screen brightness, there is not much difference.

The interface is extracted directly from the Zune, is something that can be both intuitive and difficult to navigate. Let me explain: for those accustomed to the interface of Android and iOS, there is a certain learning curve to deal with the difference of interface of Windows Phone. But for those who never used a smartphone in life, it does not look like it will be tricky as well.

The so-called tiles, or blocks (which is what Microsoft calls here in Brazil) appear on the home screen and stretch to the limit. The remaining applications are accessed by an arrow in the top right or by dragging the screen to the left. It can be different and interesting, but there is an excess of animation in live tiles that bothers me after a while, especially in the contact block.

Even with a slightly larger screen than the iPhone, I found the keyboard a little cramped for typing. The automatic correction dealt with most errors caused by its small size, fortunately. I missed the option of tactile feedback as the sound of little use to indicate that I was typing something.

Multimedia and call quality
Because it is derived from the Windows Zune Phone offers a good level of multimedia support. The application responsible for it is simple and easy to use, with buttons to control music available in the home, even with the screen locked, and when the volume controls are activated.

For some reason not all the ID3 tags of music files were correctly identified. Also there is the option to display lyrics, something Motorola has corrected the RAZR. Otherwise, the music player is what you expect: random music playing options, display lists and everything else. The headphones that come with the unit a little disappointed in the quality, but for mobile phones are good enough. And the rear speaker come with headphones.

It supports the video was a little disappointing. All videos, if not already on the right codec and extension, need to go through the program conversion Zune sync, I speak a little later. This conversion takes depending on the computer processor, but it's still an advantage over Apple that offers this option even with iTunes. Since Android manufacturers also started to pay attention to this detail.

Call quality was reasonable in turn, nothing exceptional. He does not have a noise reduction, then through a tumultuous environment can cause the occurrence of "what you said?" Who is the other side. I did not expect a rear speaker very good, but for cases where a speakerphone is needed it is more than decent. The headphones also have a very good build quality, but will do the trick for calls as well.

Camera
With 5 megapixels, the camera is good and there. The sensor used in Omnia W can capture a good image on clear days, but in night photography is not always possible, even with the flash enabled. He compensates for this flaw with an excellent macro focus mode, which lets you take pictures of objects and close. As a whole, the camera can catch up to the top of Androids line without too much pain, but lags slightly behind the last two iPhone models.

The sensor W Omnia also supports video recording at up to 720p which is a good quality for display on the phone. Increase the screen a bit and you will start to see a grain characteristic of this type of sensor. But hey, it's better than nothing, right? The video I recorded with him being sent to YouTube and will update this review with him just finished being processed.

As is required by the specifications from Microsoft, the W Omnia also has a dedicated button on the camera, which allows it to be activated when the screen is locked. The button is two points, but is a bit too sensitive: just a light touch so the camera is triggered. This camera, in fact, is capable of reading QR codes automatically, simply open the search for Bing.

Applications and navigation
The Windows Phone coming in the Omnia is the Mango 7.5 W and with it the Samsung brought some unique programs, such as an image editor, a version of its Photobooth, an RSS reader and AllShare, the program used to share multimedia content through devices with support ... AllShare.

Additionally the system comes with an already known strong social integration. If you log into your Twitter account it automatically fills in the contacts application with the names, avatars and the latest updates. When logging in to Facebook, in addition, it also detects events for which you were invited and integrates the calendar.

Other applications included in Windows Phone also deliver functionality that are side by side with their competitors, as the maps application that loaded the GPS signal very quickly, the messaging application that centralizes the Facebook chat to Windows Live Messenger and SMS, and email, it integrates so startlingly uncomplicated services such as Gmail, Hotmail, Yahoo or any POP or IMAP access.

The application store, Windows Phone Marketplace, gave me more problems than solutions. I tested two different credit cards and none of them were accepted, then buy programs was not one of the graces with which my phone was blessed. And yet, even if I wanted, the number of applications available is not the greatest - it seems to be still incomplete, the same initial phase of the AppStore: full of flatulence apps and testing.

Yes, there are several major titles of the games industry that have already been ported. Angry Birds, Fruit Ninja and hundreds of others who are already successful in competing platforms have won a version for Windows Phone. But the lack of variety is still possible to understand something when you do a search.

Navigating the Omnia W is for the Internet Explorer. And before you make a guy who just took a sour lemon juice, let me say that it is up to a decent browser on the device. IE gives the option to display or not the mobile version of certain sites and comes with support for tabs (in this case, tabs). But it lacked support for private browsing.

For anyone who requires Flash, a disappointment: it is not supported. But at least you save on battery life.

Synchronization
The same application that uses the Microsoft Zune is spent with their Windows Phone. It offers a slew of options that compete with other programs like that, although the size of the download and installation time are aligned with the rest of them. Support synchronization of images, videos, music and podcasts are included in the program, plus access to Windows Phone Marketplace.

The video conversion is necessary for it to be played on the device. Just drag the program and synchronize at the end. The Zune offers the option to change the conversion quality music, but lacked the same for videos. I noticed that the quality dropped dramatically when I played an AVI converted video on your mobile.

Like everyone, he is good but not perfect. Downloading the application program does not always work and the fact of having to drag content to the phone instead of using playlists is a bit annoying. But a good focus is to sync via WiFi, which can be slow in some cases, but it works without problems - and was available even before Apple think of this possibility. Also in the program missed some of the battery charge indicator on the phone.

Battery
In two weeks of use, the battery was one of the most consistent items. With extreme use, including video and music playback, sending SMS and constant calls, web browsing and social networking, using the camera for pictures and videos, the battery ran out in 8 hours and 40 minutes. Already using reasonable with few links, moderate use of 3G and WiFi and just using the playback of music among the multimedia functions, the battery life was at 12 hours and 30 minutes. I auditioned several times and all with the average brightness and automatic.

You can say that on an average day hardly use the Omnia W will leave the user at hand. It has a battery that can last all day, since the owner is not exaggerated. Still, he is one of those phones that you will need to plug into the outlet at night to avoid problems with lack of energy the next day. Like most current fact.

There is also the option to save the battery built into Windows Phone, which should help the weight to be further extended and not end so soon when you're in the latter.

Negative points
Little storage space;
Design of cheap plastic.
Strengths
Price into account;
Screen SuperAMOLED;
Long lasting battery.
Conclusion
The W offers the Omnia for $ 1200 is aligned with some more expensive now offer Android also comes compete with the iPhone in some aspects, such as good battery life. He's a cellphone with a system and high-end features and priced for mid-end.

Still, there are many rough edges to be trimmed. The Windows Phone still seems to me an incomplete system, especially in terms of applications. The excellent screen and camera with 5 megapixels of resolution are good items, but it appears that Samsung cut to save other items, as shown in the external finish and lack of support for microSD cards.

I believe that they should buy the Omina W are those who are not afraid to venture into a very different system than we are used or those who have never had a smartphone. These two groups will be pleased with what it offers for the price it is sold. There is a learning curve to understand the interface and take full potential of it, but it is very difficult.

The Omnia W then proves two things: you do not need a smartphone that costs two thousand dollars to be good and not always the ones that cost less than 2,000 reais will be bad. Just have a system with good features at a decent hardware. And this is the combination that offers the Omnia W.

Large solar storm hits the Earth this week

The largest solar flare since 2005 should hit Earth this week with strong electromagnetic radiation. The claim was first made by the airline Delta Airlines and monitored by scientists and scholars.

The company has changed its flights in the polar regions to the south routes as possible to conventional airway, after having realized more cargo of solar radiation reaching the earth in that region.

In the case of poles Radiation causes the beautiful images of the aurora borealis, but the biggest fear is that the solar storm could interfere with the comunciação on the planet, damage satellites and cause more serious problems with power grids in the northern hemisphere.

The event began last Sunday and was caused by a very specific eruption that occurred near the center of the Sun, said Doug Biesecker, a physicist at NOAA (National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration Space Weather Prediction Center).

"The rash itself is not spectacular, but in this case a strong coronal mass ejection travels at an average of 6.5 million kilometers per hour" in our direction - concludes.

A Coronal Mass Ejection (CME) is the expulsion of material from the solar corona. What is the Sun ejects the phenomenon is basically matter and plasma, primarily protons and electrons, with small amounts of heavier materials such as helium, oxygen and iron.

Beautiful Aurora Borealis, North Pole
The phenomenon releases strong electromagnetic charges and so EMC is the largest, most obvious is the potential for damage. The ejection began last Sunday and scientists hope it will continue to reach us until the end of tonight, no later than the morning of Thursday (26).

The reason for this is that the entire volume of space between us and Jupiter, for example, is filled with protons and we can not "just get rid of them so easy", says Biesecker.

NOAA classifies two higher levels of electromagnetic radiation in such storms, severe and critical. This is the strongest of the other one occurred in May 2005, where the mass of radiation (as protons) traveled to more than 149 million miles per hour toward earth.

Most scientists are aware, but the phenomenon observed in a non-alarmed, without worrying too much.

It is an important phenomenon of great importance to science, but for those who expect an exaggerated encounter with a Mayan shaman or frightened gazelles with natural tanning and iPhones duds, everyone stay calm. Everything will be alright.

Samsung Omnia W Review

If you are looking for a smartphone with Windows Phone operating system smaller and cheaper than the HTC Ultimate, a new option painted in the market. The Samsung Omnia W is the second unit to arrive in Brazil with the mobile system from Microsoft, and is presented as a good alternative to Android or iPhone. Check out the review:

Design
The Samsung Omnia has a W conservative and sober design, with straight edges and color predominantly black. The buttons characteristic of devices with Windows Phone are discrete - those responsible for the command to go back and look for are touchscreen, responsive to the touch.
The rear of the machine has parts that are not good quality printing, but the site that covers the battery treatment has metallic silver with the logo of Samsung, from the feeling of strength, especially considering that the smartphone screen has treated Gorilla Glass more resistant to scratches and cracks.

On the left side, only the button to increase / decrease volume is available. On the right side, we have the button on / off the unit and responsible for adding the camera that takes pictures with up to 5 megapixel resolution and shoot videos with a resolution of 1280 × 720 (HD).

Performance
Despite having a single-core processor 1.4 GHz and only 512 MB of RAM, the device does not disappoint in the category performance. Even in the face of competitors with dual-core processors and 1 GB of RAM in the same price range, the system is light and fluid, with no need for a dual-core chip.
The fluidity of the system is largely due to the good work that Microsoft made in Windows Phone Mango. Even with many programs open, you can switch between applications very rapidly. In popular games like Angry Birds, not seen any crash or slow to more complex stages.

Features
One of the big flashy W is the Omnia's screen. The 800 × 480 resolution is great and brings great clarity. Super AMOLED technology and treatment Gorilla Glass, the brightness is intense and the standard interface with black background and white text reveals a Windows Phone color contrast very pleasing to the eye. The answers are immediate and the touch screen supports multitouch commands. The size can be disappointing compared to the HTC Ultimate, which has 4.7 inches, but you can handle the device without complications and the device falls slightly in my pants pocket.

Super AMOLED screen has good contrast of colors (Photo: Paul Higa / TechTudo)
The camera has 5 megapixel resolution and can easily replace a compact camera in lighter environments. When there is little light, however, the pictures may be blurry or noisy.

Video recording is another highlight: the apparatus makes movies with HD resolution up to 1280 × 720 at 30 frames per second. To enjoy all this quality, however, you must change the camera settings - by default, the system records video in VGA format.

The speaker has loud and without distortion. The microphone allows the person on the other end hear your voice with good quality, no noise. Unfortunately, Samsung decided to include a headset for a very simple device that costs more than thousand dollars, so if you want to listen to music on the way to work or college, we recommend purchasing a better quality headset to take full advantage features of music and video player for Windows Phone.

The big problem is the device to store files. A total of 8 GB of memory, but much of that space is used by the operating system, leaving the user about 6 GB for music, photos and movies. There is also no possibility of an expansion memory card, which can remove users who like to put entire collections on the device.

Battery
The Samsung Omnia W has great battery. Despite the more intense activity to test the device, even after tweet, Facebook updates, conversations in Windows Live Messenger and hours of music, the battery has reached the end of the day with nearly half of the remaining charge, an excellent mark.

In standby mode, demonstrates the smartphone be able to stay on for up to two days without recharging. In addition, Windows Phone has the power saving mode, which disables the automatic receipt of e-mails and applications running in the background, ensuring a few more hours of battery life.

Cost-benefit
With a suggested retail price of U.S. $ 1,299 in online stores, the Samsung Omnia is a great option W between devices on the same track. He will not make dramatic shots and app store should have no equivalent to all programs you use on iOS or Android - it is the user to evaluate the exchange pays or not. However, the stability of the device and speed in performing tasks, it is an intermediate of the best smartphones we can buy today.

Microsoft should release Linux on Windows Azure

Microsoft is about to change their policies to a Windows Azure, a platform to run applications in the cloud making the most of the so-called cloud computing. According to Mary Jo Foley, a journalist specializing in covering the world from the windows will soon service subscribers will also run within the Linux platform.

Under study is the release of persistent virtual machines capable of running Linux distribution. At first glance, the news may bring surprise to observers of MSFT in the IT market. However, it is not today that the company says it invests in the development of free software and community around Linux.

Azure: pay (in dollars) for what you use
You are expected to arrive during the autumn in the Northern Hemisphere the first test version of the VM running Linux. In accord with Mary Jo, of MSFT idea is to develop an environment in which customers can run their Linux applications without having to redo some work to conform to the specifications of the Azure - the platform has its own SDK and APIs.

When the VM version is complete, it will update to users according to their needs. While there is more information on the subject, much less about what exactly the Linux MSFT Azure and will use the customer set that will fit according to your taste. It does not matter much because, since we are talking about persistent VMs, the computer is constantly adjusted according to what the client wants.

I asked the folks at Microsoft was sure to compare Brazil to Windows Azure with Amazon EC2, Amazon's platform for running systems. Not yet got an answer. According to Mary Jo, but gives a comparison, and Amazon is ahead in terms of resources by allowing customers to run Windows, SQL Server or Linux from the platform.

Speaking of SQL Server, the technology can run on Windows Azure and SharePoint, Virtual Server MSFT developed especially for enterprise applications. Today, to my knowledge, companies can run on a SharePoint server itself or on Microsoft's cloud, but in a controlled environment by MSFT. With Azure, SharePoint would be in the cloud of MSFT, but controlled by the client.

Windows Azure works best scheme in the "pay as you go", the same adopted recently by the arrival of Amazon AWS Amazon in Brazil. Prices for the Brazilian market are presented in U.S. dollars.

Samsung announces Galaxy Ace Plus

Following the trend of placing the largest possible number of names in the Galaxy models of their phones, Samsung today announced the sequel to the Galaxy Ace, Ace Galaxy Plus. The design has remained the same, but the internal hardware has undergone some changes deserved. Yet he has not improved enough to scale up both the smartphone and should remain in the field of mid-end.

The Galaxy Ace Plus comes with a 1 GHz processor, 3.65-inch screen, 3G support, WiFi and Bluetooth, 5 megapixel camera, 3 GB of internal storage and comes with Android 2.3. Strangely, even with the screen a little larger than the previous (3.5 inches), the resolution remained the same 320 x 480 pixels, which can end up making the items displayed in it are a little stretched. But nothing too noticeable, I guess.

Moreover, it comes with all the customizations that cell line are entitled Galaxy, including the TouchWiz, the Social Service Hub and messaging between devices of the platform, Chaton. Samsung did not say the suggested price but said it will be available in Europe, Africa, Asia and Latin America in the coming months.

If this model is successful, we can expect the coming of the Samsung Ace Ventura Galaxy Super Plus More Advanced in 2013. Just to follow the trend.

Americans are one step closer to bury Internet Explorer 6

Ever heard of a mother who has joy in burying their own child? Generally society abhors such behavior. Since the virtual community is giving full support for Microsoft's goal of ending the world in Internet Explorer 6. Here in America they are one step closer to realizing that dream.

Internet Explorer 6 below 1%
The Internet Explorer team (now in its ninth iteration) published an article full of pride to call attention to the numbers of IE6 checked by the company Net Applications. The company ended 2011 with only 0.9% of all U.S. users using the infamous browser.

This is the first time in history when Internet Explorer 6 figure below 1% in research for the United States. It means that the battle has been successful, with the Internet gradually putting aside the browser released in 2001 (from within Windows XP natively, remember).

Here in Brazil we are coming to bury IE6. The data from Net Applications found that the browser appears in 1.4% of our computers. A reasonable level, but the intention is that these facilities are replaced by more modern applications (relying on the MS, the most current IE).

Meanwhile, China remains a leader in using Internet Explorer 6. 25% of Internet users remain with the old browser. Something tells me that this percentage has to do with the amount of pirated software circulating in the country, not to mention the delay you have to renew as large an installed base of computers.

This way Microsoft announced it will force a refresh of Internet Explorer 6 for something more modern. Even on computers with pirated Windows, you see.

Google penalizes itself for some SEO practices

This week Google decided to punish herself for SEO practices considered illegitimate. The problem occurred when an agency called Unruly Media, hired by Google, ordered paid posts about Chrome for several blogs. These posts contain the warning that they were sponsored, but was missing one important item: the attribute "rel = nofollow" on links to the site of Chrome.

This attribute indicates a link to robots indexing pages do not need to be indexed, which prevents the change in ranking a page of results. The result? The pagerank of the site's Chrome will be lowered for 60 days of Google search, which is the standard punishment that applies the company when it detects this type of practice. Doubt? See below for the browser to search on Google.

Google said it has hired advertising agency responsible for the video to publicize Chrome through online advertising such as banners and other means, but not paying for advertising on blogs posts. In fact, a company spokesman said explicitly that they avoid paying bloggers to write about the products.

It seems that Google is returning to its roots and focusing on the mantra "Do not be evil." It remains that they operate in other sectors too.

Galaxy S and Galaxy Tab will not receive Android 4.0 or "value pack"

According to Business Insider: Because of hardware limitations Galaxy S and Galaxy Tab can not receive the fourth version of Android. Still, as the owner of a Galaxy S, I allow myself to wonder why a custom ROM with the Ice Cream Sandwich work better and faster on my phone about the version with Gingerbread - is the default installation of Samsung or any custom ROM available.

The list of manufacturers who have already taken steps so, however, contains not only the name of Samsung. Motorola, at the launch of Dexter, said that this model would advance versions of Android, but then turned around and did not update the device. HTC is another, updating the equipment in some countries while in others the same models do not get a new version.

It is a serious problem caused by the decentralization of the platform, as each manufacturer does whatever it wants - because there is no control of Google. That way, it remains for those who do not wait to get their hands on Ice Cream Sandwich is to install a custom ROM.

Microsoft sues British retail giant for pirating Windows

Today, Microsoft issued a statement giving an account of a lawsuit against Comet, an electronics distributor in the UK.

The company claims that the Comet had sold more than 94,000 illegal copies of Windows XP and Windows Vista in the form of system restore disks. On the one hand, the distributor's own fault for having Microsoft stopped providing original discs from the sale of new personal computers in 2007.

According to Comet, if a disk was lost for example, the only way the client was or restore your machine to send the computer back to the store or buy a new Windows license, which is not always meant to have the machine exactly as was before the crash.

On the other hand, Microsoft says it expects "much more of its distributors and their customers deserve more than that - it's not fair."

What seems to be ignored by the Comet (and something that inevitably cost them their heads in the courts) is the fact that the computer is sold at the store contains an original license the operating system, a simple download from the manufacturer's website solves part of the customer problem.

Yes, in the case of Windows XP / 7, if applicable to format the machine to resolve. The user can then burn as many copies of personal desires, since they only use the license of your property. Format, reinstall, viola. Now, to restore it through a download before a possible crash, there's the other ... and this is indeed a problem.

image: front of a Comet's stores in the UK (Internet)
Although it is somewhat difficult to identify as the Comet said it "vigorously defend its position" in the courts.

On the problem of restoration of personal computers, the controversy still persists. Although Microsoft has aborted the CD / DVD directly with the original sale of computers, the possession of his original license, you have to format your machine and then restore a previously saved point.

That is, the argument of the Comet (maybe the only) is that the user can not simply restore your machine through a download, directly from the manufacturer's website, such as Mac OS X 10.7 (Lion) for example. He will always need an installation disk to redo the whole process, which according to them (Comet) should be "forced" their hand to meet their customers well, absurd and desperately trying to blame on Microsoft.

Apple has never stopped sending original discs resettlement / restore with each unit sold to 0 OS X 10.6 (Snow Loepard) Microsoft practice that aborted in mid-2007 given by the immense and uncontrollable amount of units shipped with your operating system around the world, which only amplified the scope of the piracy.

Microsoft maintains an entire website specifically targeted to support its user to identify pirated software and systems, to clarify issues related to licensing and reporting the distribution of illegal copies. The website is HowToTell.Com, although unfortunately the truth is that many users do not care much about its content.

From July 2011, the new MacBook Airs on, then Apple would offer Lion pre-installed on the machine and upgrades, updates and restorations completely downloadable.

What really surprises is the fact that Comet completely ignore the terms of use and licensing at Microsoft do not get stuck towards the sale of units.

More surprisingly is on the verge of doing this have on hand Windows 8, which among its many updates, are the functions of Refresh, Reset and Cloud Backup and new countermeasures against piracy.

Yahoo has a new CEO

A giant web is under new management as of now. The reports that Yahoo has finally decided on the new commander in chief. Chosen for the role of leading a company in crisis, Scott Thompson responded as previously CEO of PayPal, that electronic payments system that everyone uses (or almost everyone) in our little world tech.

It's been four long months since Carol Bartz, the outspoken leader of the Internet company, left his position after being fired by phone. At the time she sent an email to all Yahoo employees show their indignation. Until a message without profanity, I might add.

"Scott brings a proven track record Yahoo to build a solid foundation of existing properties and resources to rekindle innovation and lead to growth, precisely the formula that we need at Yahoo."

Behind the corporate language we have confirmation that Yahoo Thompson perform as expected or better than that obtained when commanded PayPal

At the payment service owned by auction giant eBay, Thompson managed to double the base of active users during the nearly three years that he was ahead. From 50 million to 104 million monthly users. And most importantly, spread over 190 countries worldwide.

For a long time there was speculation that AOL somehow, would acquire the operations of Yahoo on the Internet. At least for now the dream of Tim Armstrong, CEO of the company that still offers dial-up Internet service in the United States, has been postponed.

TIM registers 34% increase in voice calls during the turn of the year

TIM has made a general assessment of its telecommunications network during the turn of the year. You know, millions of people trying to talk to relatives, friends and enemies  through the telephone network ... there is always the risk of something going wrong. According to the operator, all work as the book.

TIM does not comment on absolute number of calls or send SMS. Too bad, but part of company policy. It also does not provide information on sending SMS and data traffic even in percentage terms.

At the turn of the year, the operator reported a 34% increase in phone calls in relation to the previous day, taking December 2011 as a parameter. In terms of turn of the year, when traffic is usually more intense, the TIM was an increase of 8.4% for calls over the turn of 2010 to 2011. More people hanging on the phone, even with the predictions to the contrary.

I confess that I was surprised. I was able to call relatives there by midnight, talking via Skype with his girlfriend and even climb a basic picture for Twitter with 3G provided by TIM in Rio de Janeiro.

"There were no flaws that prevented us from making and receiving calls or data traffic and SMS in the day December 31 and January 1. Anyway, it bears noting that mobile services are subject to changes by external factors such as shadows, geographic, climatic or reception capacity of mobile phones, for example. "

What was your experience during the turn mobile phone? Worked or not?

The other operators were invited to comment on the quality of voice, data and SMS during the turn of the year. For now, only TIM responded positively to our call.

Google wants to standardize the interface of the applications on Android

One of the main - and better - the new Ice Cream Sandwich is the redesigned interface, named Holo. This time, Google has imposed a condition to manufacturers who adopt the Android Market on their devices: the standard Android interface should be available for handsets that have Android and Android Market 4.

But, wait: the pure Android interface is only available for development issues. Currently, there is an interface standard for Android applications. From now on, the developer may make application to the Holo interface, and can develop a specific version customized versions from the manufacturers.

Unfortunately, this does not mean you can enjoy the pure Google experience on your smartphone.

This, of course, make life easier for developers: with a pattern to follow, it becomes easier to create an application with a user experience as a reference. Ideally, it would be that type interfaces Motoblur, Timescape TouchWiz or cede their seats to the Holo.

The director of the Android experience, Matias Duarte, said he did not bother with costumization made by manufacturers on their devices. A pity.

The Ice Cream Sandwich also has an exclusive source developed for the platform, Roboto.

Nokia Car Mode: central vehicle for the Belle

Whether your future phone will run Symbian or Nokia Belle. For both cases (which are actually only one) Nokia has developed a specific application to act as a central vehicle. The Nokia Car Mode brings more options desired by drivers in command of a wheel. With touchscreen interface is even better.

The application was first demonstrated at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September 2011 but only now Nokia Car Mode gives the guys at Nokia store for immediate download. And most importantly, free download, as Nokia has a tradition of offering software solutions for themselves.

The Nokia Car Mode have quick access to telephony features, entertainment (read music) and direction. In the most important, the direction, you can activate the GPS device and connect it to the vehicle sound system to listen to driving directions and at the same time, enjoy the sound that you love. To this end, the vehicle must have connectivity by default MirrorLink, a novelty that Nokia and other companies support. This version of the software costs $ 20 in their store.

(YouTube Video)

According to the company, use the Nokia Car Mode causes distractions for the driver to be smaller. As far as I know, Google also offers something similar on Android - an automotive module with access to basic features of the device. I do not know if the iPhone offers similar feature natively.

Nokia promised that the application reaches a specific version for the Nokia N9 (read the review of the Tecnoblog written by me), which runs MeeGo soon.

Look who's in Instagram: Barack Obama

When you think of Instagram, imagine those guys with plaid shirt, jeans weird, glasses that do not draw attention, and love a cupcake? Think again. The tool is no longer the exclusive hipster crowd just to round up the most powerful man on the planet. Chuck Norris Barack Obama, the charismatic president of the United States of America, opened its own in Instagram.

Barack Obama became famous for the campaign that made social media to raise funds to finance the presidential race. He said he would give up the publicly funded, then that promise did not materialize and, in addition to taking money from the Internet, used the figures provided by the government to play the campaign.

And what is the significance of the arrival of President Instagram? Rightly so, reinforce the importance of Instagram through social media. With an iPhone in hand and an application in iOS, any user can take to itself the right to produce photos with different effects, interesting. What Clive Thompson in the January issue of Wired magazine calls the "new way of seeing" (photos, in this case).

In January we had the confirmation that the Instagram grows by leaps and bounds as a place to share photos. You are on the same footing of TwitPic and Yfrog, with 16% of all photos uploaded to Twitter, according to numbers from a website that specializes in indexing images. Not bad.

Want to follow the Prime Instagram (Instagram the President)? It's @ barackobama. Simple.

While their president keeps using the internet to maintain dialogue with the public, our dear Dilma promised to use Twitter more in 2011 and then disappeared. If it was a campaign promise, we would have a reason to complain.

Steam sets record: 5 million players connected simultaneously

The store and Valve's gaming platform is making the most successful worldwide. Part of that success is measured with the number of players connected simultaneously to the service. In early January, once again, the Steam servers registered a new record for simultaneous connections: for more than five million.

The Verge The reports that on January 2, a Monday like any other, except for the fact that many people still was not back at work, Steam recorded exactly 5,012,463. Almost there at lunchtime in the U.S. (I guess the west coast, but this has not been confirmed), which gives longer in the afternoon here in Brazil.

Among the titles were played during The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, Team Fortress 2, 3 and CoD Modern Warfare Counter-Strike ever present. Are you a fan of any of these? Recommended by gambling Steam servers? Make your comment in the comments ....

Steam's success does not come today and serves to prove that there is, yes, space to play "game" on the computer. The current generation of consoles are still the focus of many players who want to worry about buying hardware just once and spend five or six years without worrying about it. On the PC, so I know does not always work that way, but the category is still very hard.

Here at The Next Web they point to the arrival of Origin, a game store from Electronic Arts (EA our dear), as a further factor which supports the heating of the category of PC games to Valve If the owners do a lot of money Steam, imagine what EA has to get ready. Are eyeing this market entertainment that little by little, he climbed the threshold of the world's most profitable.

So successful that PC games are still the most pirated. Crysis 2, that the more circulated in Torrent, had almost 4 million downloads. The islands are far from it, with Super Mario Galaxy 2 in the best position, registering 1.28 million downloads. Gears of War 3 most downloaded Xbox, recorded 890,000 downloads.

In total, Steam has 35 million active users.

And there were people saying, in a not too distant past, that computer games were in their final days. I see. This story still going to samba.

Android Waterproof Tablet : there is (or will exist)

Pantech. You may have heard of this South Korean company, maybe not. Anyway, Pantech is about to enter the U.S. market with a different tablet (or the promise of being different) of what we have seen so far. Dual-core, with a camera recording in Full HD, and most importantly, waterproof.

The Pantech Element is ready to be presented at the CES 2012, which takes place next week in Las Vegas. The site BGR found that the device will run Android 3.2 (Honeycomb), although the Ice Cream Sandwich is there for some companies use - legend has it that the latest version of Android is present in 0.6% of the devices currently.

Pantech Element
Among the physical attributes of the device can highlight the 8-inch display, a 2 megapixel front camera (records video in 720p), rear camera of 5 megapixels (1080p), all duly protected from water. The inner beauty of the Element comes down to dual-core 1.5 GHz (no information about the manufacturer so far) and 16 GB of internal storage. No word on RAM.

By "waterproof", understand that the device can not be immersed. In addition, all entries must be sealed, more or less as with the Motorola Defy. The difference is that the Defy may be a few inches under water, as we find ourselves in the review published by TB.

Pantech Group works closely in partnership with operators. For now, what is known is that AT & T U.S. training vendors to show the operation and eventually make customers buy the tablet. For the price of U.S. $ 299 it will come out with two-year contract. More expensive, the Element has unlocked priced at $ 499 (I will not compare with iPad or other Android tablets, leave the job because of you).

Windows 8 will have reset option to erase all

Windows already offers the option to restore to an earlier point where applications were not present or at a point before installing a driver, for example. But in Windows 8 Microsoft will offer two new options, calls Refresh and Reset, which are quite unlike the restore option - one of them is very similar to the factory restore option that is present in most if not all, of today's cell phones .

The Reset option will make Windows start from scratch: it removes all personal data, all changes to the default settings and reinstall the system. Within this option you can make two choices: remove the data completely (longer) or just delete the data quickly (so they can be recovered by someone with the right tools). It is intended to be used when you do not have much attachment to their data or have already backed up your computer and want to move forward.

It keeps the option Refresh all data, applications and settings but it makes a system reinstall. This second option for those who must serve notice any problem or are dissatisfied with a possible slowdown, a hallmark of older Windows installations. Or also for people who want to reinstall the system but do not have an external hard drive for backup.

The details even more detailed (!) Of these options are available in the official blog of the team responsible for building Windows 8. There has also been detailed in past the new installation of Windows 8, you must follow a simpler scheme than the existing several screens in previous systems, so it is natural that the other processes follow the same ideology.

HP Omni 27 is the newest all-in-one device

HP will present at CES 2012, the Omni 27 that will surely stand out because of its proportions pachyderms. Competitor of the iMac, the model is an all in one with 27 inch screen.

The iMac HP
The model relies on the services of an Intel Core i5 2400S to run Windows 7, which will arrive bringing in an interface with a "style" 1080p touchscreen for your screen is not touch sensitive. Otherwise, it will have Blu-ray player, TV receiver, 2 TB of storage and Beats sound system, signed by rapper Dr. Dre and can optionally be augmented with a subwoofer.

For those interested, the Omni will reach 27 U.S. stores in the next 8 days priced from $ 1,199 (U.S. $ 2,200).

Less innovative, HP also comes with a new traditional desktop on your line. Given the name of Phoenix H9, the computer is a monster designed for gamers and professional video editing and comes equipped with an AMD FX-8100 eight-core, 8GB RAM, 160 GB of SSD storage, and another 2 TB storage traditional, all for a modest U.S. $ 1,149 ($ 2,000).

U.S. Sopa laws relating to piracy and censorship on the Internet

U.S. Internet users set up a virtual protest to spread slogans against two bills. the issue is the ability of U.S. companies to protect their intellectual property.

Behind the Stop Online Piracy Act (SOPA) and PROTECT IP is the interest of the Senate to give lawmakers a heavier treatment to prevent the continuation with the celebration of movies, music, software and similar content on the network indiscriminately, with entitled to millions of people connected in networks - you know what I'm talking about - sharing these bits of content.

First of all, let us understand what are the bills reason for such disagreement.

SOUP (emphasis original text by me in PDF) regarding the content mainly but not only. For information purposes this article, I will disregard all of the text that talks about physical pirated products (the same goes for the PROTECT IP). By law, the Attorney General of the United States is responsible for observing and processing sites that offer third-party content, especially movies, music, series, books and software to download. Or that facilitate access to this content.

If the RIAA feel uncomfortable with a link published in the American site, it could request that the entire site is taken down if the site owner does not agree to remove pirated content. The hosting provider, through a short letter from the government, would be forced to disable it without any right to claims. As a preliminary, that among Brazilian judiciary gave rise to the maxim: "Injunction is not discussed, is fulfilled" (or something like that, so remember the lessons of judicial practice).

In addition to the site becomes unavailable, the bill still allows multiple devices to economically affect the site owner. For example, transactions for services that facilitate this type of business, like PayPal, could be blocked on the orders of justice. Likewise, would be in charge of the U.S. judiciary to determine that an ad network (AdSense for purposes of illustration) stop all future payments to the owner of the site. Seekers would be required to remove links to sites judged according to what determines the bill. A comprehensive series of taxes and dangerous.

Among the opponents of SOUP there is a belief that there are legal means to prevent piracy continues to spread in the digital environment. Most prominent of them, the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA, the "Act" means "law" when present in this type of name) gives tools for a company to send extra-judicial notification to a site or service provider for content publishing requesting that certain content out of the air. Showing clear evidence that this is copyright infringement, the company that hosts the content has to fulfill the request.

Here in Tecnoblog, for example, has fired some reports for WordPress.com asking them to remove the air full articles reproduced without permission. The WP.com has always fulfilled the requests.

For SOUP, download copyrighted content in an unauthorized manner becomes a crime, with a maximum penalty of ten years for the download of ten films or ten songs in six months.

Across the ring, the list of those against the law SOUP, include Google, Facebook, AOL, Yahoo, Grooveshark, Mozilla, Twitter, eBay, Microsoft, GoDaddy (domain registrar that has lost a few thousand customers before changing aside), OpenDNS, Wikimedia Foundation, Zynga, Bloomberg (financial news agency) and several others. The staff of the internet, making money with the virtual environment, is opposing the weight SOUP.

The bill PROTECT IP (PDF emphasis by me) is about protecting American intellectual property spread abroad. The target sites are hosted abroad which offer pirated content for download. Again under the supervision of the Attorney General would be the decision about which sites violate the copyright law and which do not. To this end, the first company with a copyright need to make formal complaint, then the notification sent to site owner by email or traditional letter, warning of the incident.

The tactic of the PROTECT IP is the technology to shut down the sites. Rather than ask the hosting company turn off the content - not least because the U.S. has no jurisdiction on servers in Europe, such as The Pirate Bay who have running - the PROTECT IP provides that the name by which the site is found on the net is blocked (the domain). U.S. Internet users would be prevented by the law, they get to the computers connected to the internet through the thepiratebay.org (just an example).

Opponents say the PROTECT IP that the user still free to enter the IP of the site in question and, therefore, access the computers on the network that generate the pages of the site.

(Vimeo Video)

Although the original text of the bill does not show this, consider that ICANN is responsible for domain names, is still an entity linked to the U.S. government - yes, even though such an important role in the global Internet, and even projects to bring democracy to the global organization - and you can imagine the implications of giving such power to U.S. courts to decide what to do with sites that infringe copyright.

Of course the RIAA, the dreaded combination of record U.S., has given full support to the soup, the law has caused more controversy in recent times. The same goes for NBC Universal, the communications giant, Comcast, who offer combos internet and pay TV a la NET, the Disney group, who needs no introduction, CBS, one of the largest broadcasters in the country, Nintendo, other than needs no introduction, and even Xerox.

In both cases - and PROTECT IP SOUP - companies that normally orbit a site, such as search engines, ad networks and domain registrars are more than invited to participate as proactive actions contained in two bills in order to are always in credit with the United States if it appears a heavier action requesting deactivation, for example, a search engine completely.

As I said earlier, there are a lot of controversy involved. The Internet companies say there is a terrible precedent for that in the near future, the United States may censor what now circulates freely in the network. SOUP also says that does not include the violation of the First Amendment of the U.S. Constitution, which deals with freedom of speech and press, but we can not know how true this is discussed.

For us non-Americans (I am using the concept widely known and disseminated in "American" here), is the certainty that the U.S. think they own the internet. Or at least you can send more in the large network through its laws. In part they are right, as the largest Internet companies operating under their jurisdiction. For those who are not located in U.S. territory whatever - would disable access to Internet done by Americans, which is what matters.

There are several initiatives to raise awareness on the network and try to block the adoption of two laws. Among the most numerous is the American Stop Censorship, which provides a means for Americans to contact their representatives in Congress to ask them to vote against the law. The American Stop Internet Censorship also encourages foreigners send messages to the State Department showing their displeasure with the bills. Something that own Hillary Clinton, Secretary of State, has already made public in The Hague.

The site keeps OpenCongress pages updated on the progress of SOUP and PROTECT IP.

In this PDF you read the letter signed by some of the largest Internet companies positioning themselves. This here is the article signed by over one hundred U.S. academics also going against the bills.

In the end, one should think that the Internet was conceived as a means to free flow of ideas. Something that American lawmakers attempt to restrict.

Canadian Parliament downloading illegally, says Pirate Party

Last month it was discovered that studios like Sony, Fox and Warner as well as the Department of Homeland Security United States, the official residence of the French Presidency and the RIAA itself usually download copyrighted content network. Now it was revealed that the honorable Parliament of Canada is also a place where piracy of digital files is done.

The complaint was made by the Canadian arm of the Pirate Party, which had access to some of the content downloaded by politicians and their supporters in recent months of November and December. Among the material downloaded files are movies, music, programs and books.

"The Pirate Party of Canada found ample evidence of copyright violations in parliament (...) The information was discovered through the same IP tracking methods used by the RIAA and MPAA to find addresses of computers to enter lawsuits," said the guild in statement. They also recall that in early 2011 Canadian providers were forced to hand over user data due to downloads of the movie "War on Terror."

"It's quite ironic that this same group is working to toughen the laws of copyright infringement," said Travis McCrea, candidate for governor of Vancouver by the party in recent elections. "Like the case of the process of 'War on Terror', the report shows that the content was downloaded, but does not indicate exactly who did it," the political ends.

"Ubuntu Phone" on the way?

Just behind the start of CES 2012, it is natural that all kinds of rumors floating around, but that Canonical is really interesting: we can very soon have an "Ubuntu phone" making faces.

Relax, this is just an illustration by a user.
In fact, all information is rather vague, but some clues can be decisive in the elucidation of the mystery: we know that the Canonical has promised to show a "concept device" at CES (without giving further information about what this would be such a device). But another issue that was pointed out, Canonical will also be present naMobile World Congress!

The GSMA Mobile World Congress Congress, which runs from February 27 to March 1, is a major world events in the industry of mobile devices, and can be decisive for the piece the puzzle that Canonical set up for the ESC. Many suggest that we will see very soon a smartphone running Ubuntu there.

It costs nothing to remember, Canonical is already signaling interest in releasing versions of Ubuntu for tablets and smartphones is a good time. Unity, default window manager in Ubuntu seems to have been made especially for mobile devices. Canonical's innovations in the area of cloud computing, such as Ubuntu One, also show an interest in integrating cellular / computers.

But wait, that for now this is all just a rumor, and even then it may be that Canonical only provides proof of concept, something to draw the attention of potential partners and manufacturers to who knows, maybe someday, God willing , someone would even dare to make a machine with Ubuntu. Or maybe we already have a device ready next week.

Motorola announces Motoluxe and Defy Mini with Android 2.3

Motorola this week announced two new devices with Android,  Motoluxe and Defy Mini. Both will be sold with the Gingerbread version (2.3) Android, which is not strange if you look at the rest of the release of the manufacturers, the majority still do not have phones with Android Ice Cream Sandwich ready. Yet they have good specifications for mid-end phones.

Defy The Mini comes with a 3.2 inch screen, 3.2 megapixel rear camera with flash, VGA front camera and 1650mAh battery. Moreover it follows the same characteristics as the Defy line: resistance to water and dust and scratch resistant screen protection thanks to Gorilla Glass. Below is a video featuring the cell.

(YouTube Video)

With this announcement Motorola makes our model very similar to the Defy line phones from Samsung Galaxy. If a manufacturer to launch a Defy Defy Pro and S in the future we will know who was the inspiration.

Motoluxe already has a 4 inch screen, 8 megapixel rear camera with flash, VGA front camera, 1400mAh battery, 800 MHz processor and 512 MB of RAM. A differential it is to have a bevel on the bottom left that emits light of different colors for different notifications. If this will be enough to sell the phone? Maybe not. But watch the video below and see if it encourages you to buy one.

(YouTube Video)

Both receive what is called MotoSwitch Motorola, which is the new interface that must give way to MotoBlur. It is less social and more intelligent, so Motorola said. This interface will "learn who you most conversation and which applications you use most to make all this information up front and center." Sounds intriguing, but I need to see working before saying it is bad.

Motorola has not yet released the price of the equipment, but said they will be released in Europe and Latin America between March and May this year. In China and is now available Motoluxe Defy Mini should arrive in February.
