TIM registers 34% increase in voice calls during the turn of the year

TIM has made a general assessment of its telecommunications network during the turn of the year. You know, millions of people trying to talk to relatives, friends and enemies  through the telephone network ... there is always the risk of something going wrong. According to the operator, all work as the book.

TIM does not comment on absolute number of calls or send SMS. Too bad, but part of company policy. It also does not provide information on sending SMS and data traffic even in percentage terms.

At the turn of the year, the operator reported a 34% increase in phone calls in relation to the previous day, taking December 2011 as a parameter. In terms of turn of the year, when traffic is usually more intense, the TIM was an increase of 8.4% for calls over the turn of 2010 to 2011. More people hanging on the phone, even with the predictions to the contrary.

I confess that I was surprised. I was able to call relatives there by midnight, talking via Skype with his girlfriend and even climb a basic picture for Twitter with 3G provided by TIM in Rio de Janeiro.

"There were no flaws that prevented us from making and receiving calls or data traffic and SMS in the day December 31 and January 1. Anyway, it bears noting that mobile services are subject to changes by external factors such as shadows, geographic, climatic or reception capacity of mobile phones, for example. "

What was your experience during the turn mobile phone? Worked or not?

The other operators were invited to comment on the quality of voice, data and SMS during the turn of the year. For now, only TIM responded positively to our call.
