Microsoft is spying on the yahoo's financial books

In 2008, Microsoft would have made a bid for Yahoo, which was promptly refused by the company. But then they could afford that, when each company's stock on the stock market reached U.S. $ 28 peak. Currently, with the share price below $ 16 a share, Yahoo would have a new company looking for shelter. And Microsoft is one of the names that come up again in the list of possible buyers.

According to sources the New York Times, Microsoft had signed a confidentiality agreement with Yahoo in order to give a peek at the company's financial books. She was one of several companies to sign such agreements, a practice usually performed before making an offer to purchase.

The market, however, did not react very well (again): the actions of Microsoft and Yahoo in the NASDAQ closed lower, respectively, 32 and 3 cents after the new rumors resurfaced yesterday. None of the spokesmen for the companies declined to comment.

This is not the first time in years that the Redmond giant comes along with rumors of Yahoo. In fact I could say that this is the most recurring rumor that has news on the Internet in 2011, according to data from research at the TB deductions. I just hope that this time Microsoft urges Yahoo right hand in marriage and that they have resolved finally.
