Sony used its annual conference for the presentation of products some of the gadgets that should arrive in Brazil from the middle of this year. Among them was already announced and highly anticipated Xperia Play. The phone is the first in line to be PlayStation Certified, which means that it officially supports the PlayStation games sold in the Android Market.
For those who do not remember, here's a quick refreshing of memory: the Xperia Play comes with a Qualcomm processor of 1 GHz, has a touch screen 4-inch 854 x 480 pixel resolution, run Android 2.3, comes with a camera 5 megapixel camera capable of recording up to 720p, VGA front camera, Bluetooth connectivity, WiFi and mini USB output. And it will be sold with a dock that connects to the TV.
I could play with it for a few minutes and my impression is that the design was a feature worked well, but they used a plastic material that seems to be very cheap and and easy to break. When opened, however, that party becomes irrelevant. The Xperia's screen play is spectacular and the controls respond very fast, not only with physical buttons but the touch as well.
I just can not say for sure how it comes out as Android because it would require a full review. And he should be a little bit later, for one reason: Sony Ericsson has not announced when it will be available in your country, or which suggested retail price. Just said it will arrive this fall and will be manufactured in Brazil itself. So the price may not be as high as expected.
