Google is also investing in solar energy

Since the web master does not seem quite so challenging as before, Google remains steadfast in its march towards the conquest of the world. And after investing in wind farms and green servers cooled by seawater, the cue ball is the entry of giant web on a project that will enable anyone to generate their own electricity from solar panels installed on your roof.

Called SolarCity, the business is to open lines of credit to citizens and small entrepreneurs (U.S. only for now) to acquire and maintain solar panels to be installed on the roof of their homes or businesses. Like any financing, higher fees paid at the entrance to reduce the maximum payment, which as the case may represent a "small percentage" of the bills of electricity bills.

For now Google has put a measly (for their standards, of course) of $ 280 million in business, its largest single investment in a business of generating clean energy. Since 2010 the company has invested more than $ 680 million in various projects of electricity generation, and make their own efforts in the sector.
