Skype makes integration with Facebook

Skype is slowly becoming more social. In the latest version of Skype for Windows Beta, we can see the first VoIP application integration with Facebook. This is the first step for Skype and Facebook spend talking to each other in an effort to more interoperability (tricky word, that).

A bar with Facebook contacts was added to the application of tests. The user can click on it and see the list of contacts available to talk via chat. In some states, you can also talk via audio - the lure of big nothing - as long as the user accounts on Skype and Facebook are associated.

Skype 5.5 Beta: access to Facebook contacts (in theory at least)
You can download Skype Beta here. However, be warned: the 20 MB of software testing stage can do damage. On my machine, Skype was absolutely slow when first initialized. Also, I could not move the window with the login to Facebook, since the application crashed and will not come back to life. I can not say it is widespread or Skype peeve for me. Anyway, avoid installing the beta on your machine working.

According to Skype version 5.5 Beta also has a new call control bar ("graphical icons redesigned") and feature status likes of Facebook friends. Nothing revolutionary, I know.

It is worth noting that Live Messenger also offers integration with Facebook. Like Skype, chat is done mostly by text. Just do not think that the arrival of Skype to Facebook has to do with the purchase of service for the MS, as the company headed by Steve Ballmer is not controlling Skype.
