Earlier this week Taiwan's Asus showed its newest competitor to the market for ultra-thin notebooks.
Given the name of U36, the model comes with 13 inch screen and built in magnesium body - material that made history in the market for portable computers forming the classic ThinkPad family, former IBM and Lenovo today - with only 19 mm thick, 0.02 mm or less that the 13-inch MacBook Air in its portion Parruda.
Despite its slim silhouette, the U36 has setup Parruda highlight as compared to your competitor's apple (which still turns with the Core 2 Duo) with an Intel Core i5 running under "normal voltage" under its hood, which also includes a battery capable of delivering up to 11.5 hours of Autômomo for the user. Moreover, the model has a 500GB hard drive and video card NVidia, USB 3.0 connections and other perfurmarias.
The U36 European should hit stores until early July for the equivalent of 790 euros, the current quote 1:2,26 give about $ 8,000.
