Google promotes major changes in the look, starting with the search and Calendar

Many people noticed: when accessing any of Google services, there is the top bar (the one that contains links to other services, and identify the user's mail and offer access to the settings) with a totally different color. It was a tone closer to the black, while not all black, right? This is just the beginning of major changes in the Google interface.

The company explains that the user experience with the Internet has changed in recent years, and now is the time for Google to change its various interfaces to reflect the new type of experience that the user expects the web-based services. We will have more technology, thanks largely to HTML5, and focus, since the Internet giant promises layouts that are easier to use and intuitive.

Among the first sites to undergo the changes Google is the search engine home page. The brand became smaller, the buttons are more personal, so to say - "I'm Feeling Lucky" is still there - and the footer links at the bottom really ended. To complete an entirely new and blue button to perform the search.

Unfortunately the Google home remodeled is not yet available in the local version to Brazil for all users (I can not open), but you can test it by visiting this page. So you have a taste of what will soon be in his beloved search engine.

Google Calendar (also known as Google Calendar) has undergone changes and is in line with the new visual identity defined by the staff of Mountain View.

The Next Web notes that there is a new feature for quick addition of commitments. Access to the functions of printing and refresh the page is by means of icons, and no more than text links. The list of calendars became optional, which saves space on the left sidebar. And those are just some implementations made in the Agenda.

At least one Google service appeared with new clothing for the Brazilians. Google Maps (or Google Maps if you prefer) received the new search bar, with the brand new blue button. As in the Calendar, some functions are no longer offered by links to text and now appear as buttons - print, e-mail link and generate from that location, being more accurate.

Google Maps: blue search button
I have the impression that Google is simplifying its layouts to make them less like web pages and more with web-based applications. The exchange of text links with icons make this clear. If you will please the users, then it is different.
