For Windows 8 Enterprise (sold only in volume license) from Windows 7 Professional and Windows 7 Enterprise. System settings, personal files and applications can be maintained.

The update can also be done from Windows Vista and Windows XP. Users of Windows Vista without Service Pack 1 and Windows XP with Service Pack 3 can only keep personal files such as music, photos and videos. In Windows Vista with Service Pack 1, the system settings can also be migrated to Windows 8.
