LG interrupts the development of new tablets

LG took a radical decision with respect to one of its business. The manufacturer reports that will stop development of new tablets, even if only temporarily. The company says that the focus now is on the production of smartphones, a category of products more profitable.

The announcement was made by company spokesman Ken Hong, to Bloomberg: "We decided to suspend all development of tablets for a while and focus on the line of smartphones." This is not the first notice of abandonment of technology by LG. Now in May, the manufacturer announced that it has no plans to continue production of smartphones with Windows Phone for a long time.

LG's tablets are not something easy to see. The Korean only has Optimus Pad, which has even been released in Brazil. To an extent this size, it is concluded that the manufacturer did not get on the tablet market. This is remarkable with the investment in large-screen smartphones: the launch of its 5 inch screen with Full HD resolution was one of the indications that LG would focus its efforts on smartphones.

I'm not sure whether this decision will benefit or worsen the situation of the company. It would be nice if LG actually concentrate their efforts on smartphones and actually improve their devices. I just hope that the production of tablets to be placed in a refrigerator from LG - combine well.
