How to prepare posters for printing graphics

Corel Draw and some other software can be a good solution for graphics work and the creation of promotional materials like flyers, business cards, brochures and posters. But the preparation of posters (or any other graphic material) to be sent to the graphics requires a lot of care not to lose information when the court, or that the colors do not go out and change the texts chosen to remain with the source, among others.
In the walkthrough below, we will see how to create the basis for a poster for events, preparing it to be sent to the graphics:

Step 1. Open a new document in Corel Draw. The new poster is the format of 310x440mm, however, as a material that is expected to be finalized for submission to graphics, you need to put bleeding (bleeding), and the final format will be 316x446mm (three mm more for each side).

Step 2. Make a rectangle in shape 3x3mm. With the object selected, go to "Organize", "Align and Distribute" and "Align and Distribute" again. This opens a new window where you must select the options "Top", "Left" and "Edge the page. "With this format, it will be in the corner of the desktop.

Step 3. Duplicate (CTRL + D) rectangle three times and repeat, scoring the options "Top" and "Right", "Underlying" and "Left," Inspired "and" Right ".

Step 4. Then just pull two horizontal lines and two vertical guides, and align them with the rectangles, as shown below. These marks represent the bleeding, which is the variation of the cut.

Step 5. Change the shape of the rectangles to 8x8mm, align them (as done in Step 2) and pull two more horizontal lines and two vertical guides to align with the rectangles. They demarcate the margin of safety, preventing important information is cut off.

Step 6. For printing, it is necessary that we use the standard CMYK colors. To check whether you are working correctly, look at your color palette (at the top, or right). Above the box "X" is a box with artwork. Passing the cursor over, it shows the standard being used.

Step 7. If the work is not CMYK, to change it, just go to "Window", "Palettes" and click "Default CMYK Palette."

Step 8. Make a rectangle on the demarcation of sangria (Step 2) and insert images and other information that will make your poster, ensuring that they are within the margin of safety (Step 3).

Step 9. To check if the images are appropriate and information, go to "File", "Document Properties". A new window will open. In it, you should check the "Text Stats", which should be zero, and "objects" which must be in CMYK.

Text: to "Text Stats" appears "Null", you must convert all text to curves of the document. The best way to do this is to follow the "Edit" menu, "Select All", "Text" and use the shortcut CTRL + Q.

Image: to convert them to CMYK, select one at a time, go to "Bitmaps", "Convert to Bitmap". In the resolution, choose to 300dpi, and in the way of color, CMYK, and click "OK". This should be repeated for all image files.

Check the properties again to make sure that the file is appropriate.

Step 10. Save your file with a suitable name and voila! Now you can send it for printing.
