Microsoft Windows 8 shows on a tablet in action

In addition to asking users to beg everyone to abandon their old Windows XP, Microsoft displayed on Tuesday a tablet-concept equipped with the not-so-so-mysterious Windows 8, which was within the reach of the participants in its annual Worldwide Partner Conference , meeting hosted by the Redmond giant with its client companies around the world.

For now the device is only one study that should not know the light of day, designed to showcase the next generation of its ubiquitous operating system meets the minimum requirements for success in the competitive market for handheld devices.

According to Andy Lees, head of the Windows business, the new product should be able to "do everything a regular PC does," going against the tide of Apple's successful experience in offering a mobile platform with a number of limitations of usability .

Scheduled to hit stores next year, the newest generation of Windows - which, as far as we know, should not meet with the name of Windows 8 - a letter will be of great importance to its parent company in the segment of mobile platforms, where even today can not enjoy the same success that we managed desktops.

At the same conference, Steve Ballmer, Microsoft CEO, scoffed at the performance of your current Windows 7 Phone by saying that "the market in a year, he went from small to very small."
