RIM cutting 2000 employees

The canandense RIM will lay off 2,000 employees in the future, the equivalent of 11% of its workforce. It will also promote a game of musical chairs on their boards with the right to retirement chief operating officer Don Morrison.

The decision reflects the weak results for the company's most recent fiscal quarter, which led its shares to devalue 20% in the stock market.
