New Market arrives in smartphones running Android

The Android Market has a new look. Google announced Tuesday that a total remodeled store in your applications - and not only that, from now on. The renewed application is available as an upgrade for smartphones running Android 2.2 or higher. By the book, the update comes out completely free to users.

New Android Market
For now, the biggest news of the Android Market will be released only to users in the U.S.. Clearly aiming at iTunes, which offers a plethora of shopping for iPhone owners, the Market will offer movies and books. In both cases, there is no dependence on your computer to transfer data.

When renting a movie, the phone will download it immediately. And after the download is complete, Google recommends using the official application videos (also available in the market) to play the content. The movies are priced starting at $ 1.99.

The same goes for books. Made the purchase, the e-book immediately appears on the device. Just trigger the application of reading and enjoy a pleasant reading - perhaps a good time to read Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, whose film opens on Friday, but the series of the most famous wizard in the world has not yet been released in digital format.

Just like in iTunes, buying books or renting movies is linked to the Google account user. This means that the same item bought from a smartphone can be downloaded to other devices related to that particular account on Google.

For the poor mortals who do not reside in the U.S., Android Market offers basically a new layout, promising to discover new apps more easily fast. Not the same thing Americans have the right, but it has to today.

Google promised the new Market to "the coming weeks." The company says this update is installed automatically on supported devices.
