Facebook launches application for common mobile

Facebook announced Tuesday the launch of an application that promises to open the doors of its mobile service to users who have phones that are not as intelligent as well. Called Facebook for mobile phones - or Facebook for Every Phone in English - the novelty promises to be compatible with "over 2500" mobile phone models worldwide.


Among the features available in the application, is access to your wall, messages, and the option to view and upload photos. To date these facilities could only be accessed on a computer or a mobile device or more sophisticated. It is not yet integrated the functionality of chat or check-in facilities.

According to social network, the only prerequisite needed for a cell phone is compatible with your new program is compatible with Java. Facebook says that the program will be available globally until next Friday.

The good news is that at least initially do not have to pay for access to social networking features - Brazil included. How many users of regular mobile phones that have data plans, Facebook reached agreements with several carriers worldwide - including TIM - to ensure that access to the program and its functionality is free for 90 days.
