Review of Benq S6

Imagine a device 4.3 Inches with a good battery life and still runs Windows Seven? Well, some of the engineers decided that Benq would be a great idea to do all this and launched in Italy there Benq S6. It turns out that some of these toys TechTudo arrived in Brazil and one of the models tested.

Design
The S6 has gray bars at the top and bottom with the screen in the middle. It's smaller than an iPad, but is considerably larger than a smartphone. The build quality is very good device.

The Benq S6 has doors on the right and left, MicroSD slot and headphone jacks on the right, power input and mini-usb on the left. All controls are on the side of the screen to the right is a button to activate the G-sensor and speaker. To the left is the home button, which displays the start button and the keyboard, to turn the virtual keyboard. To the left is also an impressive scrollpad a lights that illuminates with blue LEDs under the finger.

The last, on top of the device for the power switch on and off. The screen is 4.8 "wide and is really bright and clean. From the side, on the back is the battery slot (with SIM card slot) and a pen.

Performance
We tested the device that came with Windows XP installed. The performance of the gadget was not as good as a notebook, but has to read e-mails and access the Internet.

The screen is of good quality and even with the virtual keyboard, we had a good experience when using the computer. Remove Windows XP and installed the original Linux device via an SD card. With Linux, the device worked very well with games and internet browsers.

The original system comes with a modified version of Firefox to run Flash, java and all browser plugins fox. We tried to install the Android 3.0, but failed.

Running Ubuntu Netbook Remix, the unit was even more interesting. After all, it has an easy to use interface, but the best option was still being Linux that comes with the S6.

The tablet has a small screen 800 x 480 px, Atom processor Low Voltage 800MHz and 512 Mb of Ram which explains the low performance and incredible battery life. Storage are available only 2GB of storage space.

As we see, regardless of operating system used, the device is only for the use of Internet.

Cost-benefit
For $ 800.00 (in stores) you can not expect too much of this "toy". You can access the Internet Wifi or 3G.
