HTC announces J Butterfly, a Full HD screen with Android

The name is strange, but the device is legal: HTC has confirmed rumors today and showed the J Butterfly, a high-end smartphone that will be available initially only in Japan The hardware is powerful and includes quad-core processor and 2 GB of RAM, but   5-inch screen that has Full HD resolution - are exactly 440 pixels per inch!

It is already very difficult to differentiate the pixels on screens with more than 300 ppi, then a screen with 440 ppi should not cause major impacts to a common user. Anyway, The Verge was testing it and liked what he saw: "The color reproduction is excellent, the setting of 440 ppi is surprising and slightly curved edges of the screen make the image appear to be melting sides of the cell. "

The HTC Butterfly J will be launched by Japanese operator KDDI in December and still no reviews to know how the Super LCD screen 3 with this absurd resolution will impact on battery consumption, which has 2020 mAh. The battery still needs to account for a quad-core Snapdragon S4 Pro 1.5 GHz, 2 GB RAM, 8 megapixel camera and 4G LTE connection.

As Sharp has started production of its Full HD screen of 5 inches and LG showed a prototype like is a matter of time before other manufacturers launch smartphones with this definition picture. HTC has confirmed it will put the screen Butterfly J on other devices, but ... well, she closed her office in Brazil. Still, it is not unlikely that Samsung put a screen like a future Galaxy S IV.
