Nokia To Play transmits video wirelessly to your TV

You Know the multimedia streaming service to Apple's device IOS, the AirPlay? The competition seems to have liked the concept. One example is Nokia, which released on Wednesday (1) The Play To, an application for smartphones the company to send their videos, photos and music from your smartphone to your TV or sound system - all without the need cables and connections.

It works the same way as the AirPlay, requiring that everything is interconnected in the same Wi-Fi (including this time, the Nokia smartphone with the content you want to watch or listen to another device). The external apparatus also must either support DLNA technology in order to receive streaming content - a PlayStation 3, a Samsung Smart TV or any other model that is also able to connect to the WLAN, for example.

The video above, released by Nokia itself, demonstrates how it works. No configuration is required and advance the photos and videos seem to work smoothly and without glitches. Sure, it's a demonstration and edited for advertising purposes, so it's good to test yourself to see if run as well as the company says.

Developed by the Trial Division of the Finnish company, Beta Labs, To Play is still in testing phase, but with a status of "probable migration to a commercial product", ie it should be released as a final application to consumers soon . Still, you can download the demo software on the Labs page for free - Nokia encourages users to comment on the performance of the tool to help them improve before submitting the final version.
