No games on the iPhone, Nintendo president guarantees

I bet he frustrated the desires of some iPhone owners. Anyway, is this: The Honorable Satoru Iwata, Nintendo president, said in an interview there in Japan that games for the Apple smartphone - or any smartphone to be precise - will not be released in a future so near.

"This is absolutely out of the question," Mr. Iwata said in an interview. So tell those present at the interview, the president of the Big N has proved resolute and determined that the decision not to open. It is said that there is no chance of Nintendo releasing games for mobile phones at least as Iwata continue leading the company.

In a way, the news is hardly astounding. Nintendo has a history of launching their own games only for devices made by it. Whether the Nintendo 3DS sold several million units while the iPhone and iPod Touch are counted in the hundreds of millions, the company is intent on not to venture into the cell.

On another occasion the same Iwata had told shareholders that it will not open the games for Nintendo's other platforms. Let's see how long it will last with that decision.
