Free Internet in airports only lasts 15 minutes

One of the issues raised recently was the availability of internet in Brazilian airports. Minister Gleisi made a promise: that the Internet would be free from July this year, when many people go on vacation and resort to air travel. Well, the Wi-Fi was released in airports, but not the way we imagined.

Who goes through the airports of Guarulhos (Sao Paulo) or Galleon (in Rio de Janeiro) soon realizes boards Infraero (state company that manages terminals) warning that there is free internet. The problem is precisely the following words: the connection is limited to only 15 minutes. Yes, folks, 15 minutes.

Once the few minutes of connection result, it is terminated and the user is left without access to your information. I was downloading an important report? Luck. I wanted to watch the commercial again damn ponies on YouTube? Better expect to spend on TV - if the Conar not ban it, is evident.

Speaking to Tecnoblog, a spokesman for Infraero said that 15 minutes of free connection at airports was a determination of the minister herself Gleisi. At the time of his statements, remember not to take note of this important detail, but that's where comes the maximum time spent in the free connection.

By the way, the wireless Internet is provided free by the state company, but by three partners: Vex, Telefonica and Linktel. They are the suppliers of technology.

To use the service you must provide your boarding pass in a special counter for this purpose. Infraero explained that a control is made so that each passenger receives only one card. The company also says that the Wi-Fi is guaranteed only in the departure lounges.

Infraero reported to Tecnoblog that just over 6,100 cards were requested in the period from July 20 to August 3.

Apart from Guarulhos and Galleon, the Brasilia airport Congonhas and offer wireless Internet.
