Firefox 9 has 30% faster JavaScript, Mozilla ensures

As you well know, this week Mozilla released a new version of Firefox. All very good with the right to extended contract with Google to remain the default search engine in the search bar of their browser. But the promise that the browser would be more efficient than previous versions? According to Mozilla, you could say that success was achieved in FF9.

According to Mozilla in a paper published this week, Firefox 9 great asset lies in what they call Type Inference. I confess I do not know all the details on the operation of the browser, but by that Mozilla releases the Type Inference "analyzes the software code and monitors the types of values as the software executes." The information generated by the Type Inference are used in the JIT compiler to generate more efficient code.

The JavaScript engine in Firefox 9, called SpiderMonkey, has improved in Type Inference feature to load and rotate images, 3D graphics and videos faster. Result: navigation as a whole is much better.

Below you see the chart provided by showing the performance of Mozilla Firefox in the eighth and ninth rounds. Indeed, the tests presented, you can see that the software was better.

And your experience with Firefox 9? A few days after installing it, you realize that the application is faster and more stable? Leave your impressions in comments.

For my part, everybody knows that I am fan of Google Chrome browser because this is the one that best suits my needs (and is faster). I tested Firefox for a while and I can say that the user experience was faster, especially when many tabs open. However, Chrome is still unbeatable for me.
