Samsung sues Apple for use of emoticon :-)

Here's one way to tell if their lawyers are concerned to see a lawsuit lose strength: they now include unusual in patent litigation. That's what seems to be happening in the process of Samsung against Apple in Germany, since last week South Korea gave up part of it by admitting that Apple had licensed patents to Qualcomm 3G. Now the company added four new patents in the process, one related to the use of emoticons.

According to a spokesperson for Samsung told Reuters two new patents related case are included in "patterns of communication" and the other two patents "related to utilities." Spokesman did not say specifically what patents are, but the intellectual property activist Florian Mueller reveals in his blog all of them.

As the most ridiculous of all, this one is related to patent emoticons being included. Beside you see the emoticons in included in the Japanese keyboard iOS devices and would be the motivation for the new process. It seems that not only the Samsung was able to patent a variety of them like Apple did not ask permission to include them in your system.

In retaliation, Apple's lawyers released the following statement on the new allegations, "= P". Okay, that last part is not true. But seeing the level that this process has come, I'm not surprised if they come to respond using only emoticons.
