False Instagram Application for Android brings malware

Indisputable success since it was released for Android, Instagram now suffering the evils of success: the Internet is circulating a fake version of the application, which is actually a malware.


The fake app first appeared in Russia, from a page (obviously) false. On that page had a link to a *. Apk's Instagram modified with malicious code. By copying the file to your phone and install, the device was infected.

When running the application false, the cell begins to send text messages to a number. This number is a number "premium", and each received text message generates a certain value. Thus, the creator of the fake app could have hundreds, maybe thousands of messages per day being credited to your account and earn a good amount at the end of the month.

Ultimately, the malware takes advantage of the lack of much knowledge of what some users of a security flaw in itself. By electing to download the program for any website, not Google's Play, the user ends up being the victim of attacks and infected files to the phone. Therefore, it is a tip: when you download applications to your Android, remember to always use the sites and offices.
