Gmail suffers service outage, Google investigates

Google admitted on Tuesday that Gmail is having problems. The first suspicions arose, as always, when social network users reported that they could not access their accounts. The vast majority of them (at least according to my calculation) reported error 500. The App Status Dashboard, where Google records the operation of the service, already warns of the problem.

Also according to the App Status Dashboard, the first problems started at 13:47 Gmail. Google reports that the service has been standardized for some users and should be working for everyone in the future, but does not give an estimate of when this should happen. The company says that it affected only 2% of users.

It is not often that Gmail goes down, even as one of the Google services that have more users. But when it comes out, no matter how that affects only a small portion of users, the fact that always generates many complaints on Twitter, Facebook and the like. And it was different this time.

The last time that Gmail was off the air on September 23 last year.
