Opera 12 Beta brings beautiful visual themes

Opera Software announced on Thursday (26/4) the availability of a beta version of Opera 12. For now, from what I see, the main novelty is the visual themes (skins), which can either be downloaded from the Download Center as a user-created from the Dev Opera, Opera Software's channel for developers.

Some of the topics that currently are present in the download center are very pretty. As I do not use Opera so often so I do not know if any of them existed previously or if the company is only now releasing functionality. Anyway, it's worth giving a look.

Opera says that Opera 12 Beta supports 64-bit processors (download here). According to the company, the loading time of pages and software boot landed with the implementation of the architecture support. Likewise, the Opera argues that the execution of plugins in separate processes makes the experience of browsing the Internet much more interesting than the competition.

The test version of the browser uses the HTML5 video tag. Browser does not depend on Flash or other plugin to trigger the camera and capture images. I tested here with a demonstration site designated by Opera Software, and I can say that it worked perfectly. Except that my notebook's integrated camera work is not the best. Below you see the result.

Support Do Not Track, an initiative that blocks the transmission of your personal information to the web site owner, drag and drop compatible with HTML5, and hardware acceleration or WebGL are other features in Opera 12 Beta.

Worth the download.

Opera Software says it has 250 million users around the world - accounting includes those who use Opera Mini or Opera Mobile, to my knowledge.
