YouTube increases video monetization program for more countries

You do not need to see the cover of a popular Brazilian magazine in technology (hehe) to know that there are already hundreds of Brazilians making money with YouTube. But today the video site that Google chose to invite people to include in the category of farmers, who receive a portion of the ads shown. Now anyone can enroll in the program and go on to win some money with your clips.


The announcement was made on the blog of the creators of YouTube which is also one of the minimum requirements to become a partner: have at least one video that generates revenue. That means, you have to have at least one clip with enough views for ads that are displayed on it. Otherwise, Google will not bother to show advertising.

There are a slew of terms, policies and codes of conduct that a YouTube partner must follow to stay within the program and you can read all of them this link. Among the benefits that partners can take advantage of YouTube is the customization of video thumbnails, creating banners on your pages and other items. Besides Brazil, who live in the U.S., UK, Japan, Spain, Argentina and 13 other countries may also ask to be partners on the site.
