Intel is working with other manufacturers to develop Windows 8 tablets. Like ultrabooks, following a series of specifications imposed by the Santa Clara maker to obtain the seal, the tablets with Intel must follow specific features, including the battery life of at least 9 hours.

During the Intel Developer Forum, held this week in Beijing, the company announced that the processor code-named Clover Trail equip the tablet with the Microsoft operating system. The new mobile processors from Intel have frequency 1.8 GHz, dual-core and will be able to bring technologies currently present in the Core i5 and Core i7 as HyperThreading, which emulates logical cores for increased multitasking performance.

The tablets possess 3G and 4G and battery with at least 9 hours, or approximately 30 days on standby. This equipment with a 680 grams and less than 9 mm thick, similar to iPad third generation. The Neowin reports that, although much of the equipment using the format commonly adopted in most tablets, some will have physical keyboard and 11-inch screen, as in the prototype image below.

Since Intel has several proprietary technologies, many of them will be implemented also in tablets. The Wireless Display, which displays the contents of the screen on an external monitor or TV, is one of those features.
