Google gets voice search

Imagine how many times a day you go to Google and type in another search. Word for word, letter by letter. There finger! For lazy on duty (and heavy users), Google announced it will integrate the voice search the website. Having a microphone connected to your computer, the user can do searches without even touching a button.

At an event in San Francisco (USA), Google explained that people want to pursue. Normally, the Google site is mostly used for research, when the holidays arrive, days in which users are not going to work, the search for the Google Mobile increases exponentially. And there's the search for voice, to make life easier.

Voice search Google is active in the first page of Google in English - as usual. A microphone icon is displayed beside the search box where the user can use this form of data entry. At first, it will only work on Google Chrome, a bad news for those who use another browser.

Google explained that the Voice Search software for the English language is enhanced with 230 billion words from actual searches. Like any algorithm, the intelligence of the application is built over time and based on volume. It seems that the search giant has reached a point where the algorithm was smart enough to be used by the general public.

Perhaps in order to test the technology of speech recognition, two months ago that Google has adopted the voice search on Google translator (or Google Translate). The feature uses HTML5 and works (well) only in Chrome.
