Apple Releases Final Cut Pro X

A "revolution" in video editing. This is how Apple is defining its latest product, Final Cut Pro X. Maçanescos exaggerations aside, the new version of the editing has everything to please the professionals who work daily with this type of program. And the best: this version supports 64-bit.

Final Cut Pro X: with Magnetic Timeline
The brainchild of Steve Jobs in Final Cut Pro X is the Magnetic Timeline (timeline magnetic, in free translation). As I understand it, this is the first time that a video editor allows you to attach items such as title, soundtrack or CG (character generator) to a particular piece of video. Thus, by moving the line, everything else goes along.

Import video clips became more practical. Mainly because, in doing so, Final Cut X makes the analysis of video content. In the program interface (which now resembles much iMovie, Movie Maker equivalent of the Apple world) after this step is complete, the application list scenes in which there is only one person, two persons or a group of people. The recognition does not stop there, since Final Cut also determine the plans in the images.

In response to a call of mine, Michael Silva, professional editor and addicted to internets, made some comments on Final Cut Pro Look.

The Final Cut was denser, showing more power in developing a good job in less time. Apple has added to its professional line workflow already employed in iMovie. It also broke a paradigm that was so long in the market that was the inspiration of the Adobe Premiere Pro, now in its fifth version (counting a length of CS 5.5 CS 5).

Several Apple technologies are being employed for the first time in a professional product to the public. Fixes audio and separation of scenes, steps that would be long after the capture / ingestion of the material occur at the same time that the material is being added to the project. A fine edition of sounds and colors, which once stood over the Soundtrack and Color, now integrates with the main program, saving more time.

Remember, despite what Apple says, that all is not magic: Enjoy a rendering in the background, not to mention the many technologies, requires new hardware. There are reports of people who could not download the software because of this limitation. Apple has given Intel GPU HD 3000 or higher. NVIDIA GeForce GT120 has been shown also to owners of Mac Pro

Another point to consider before upgrading is the compatibility between plugins. If you paid by third-party plugins and depends on them to do their job, it is wise to wait a little longer.

In addition to Final Cut Pro X, Apple announced the fifth Motion to create animated graphics, and 4 Compressor to encode the videos. Each application costs $ 49.99 in the Mac App Store. Since Final Cut will be sold again only on the Mac App Store for $ 299.99.
