Student accuses Apple of stealing the idea of synchronization between iPhone and iTunes via Wi-Fi

Documents, photos, music ... all in the cloud. The presentation of iCloud this week put Apple in a privileged position among companies providing cloud-based services. Nothing is the privileged status of Greg Hughes, a third-year student of Computer Science in the UK. He accuses Apple of stealing the idea of syncing via Wi-Fi.

Hughes account that created the Wi-Fi Sync app for over a year, precisely in order to synchronize the files on the device running IOS with iTunes through the wireless network nearby. After sending the app to the App Store evaluators, surprise: the application used APIs and development resources prohibited. Citing "security concerns", the company's apple refused to publish the software in the Telegraph reports.

Wi-Fi Sync, available from Cydia
A year later, Steve Jobs introduced the IOS with the use of five data synchronization over Wi-Fi, just as the application of Hughes. The boy is heartbroken by this story and promises to go to court to challenge Apple in this matter. After all, to incorporate into your system features an app is denied plagiarism (or something)?

The Sync Wi-Fi is on sale in Cydia, the official store of iPhones, iPod Touches and iPads who went through jailbreak. It costs $ 10 there. The upgrade of IOS to sync via Wi-Fi will be free for all compatible devices.

An Apple spokesperson contacted Hughes to warn that the app would not be approved. The student account has been learned that the Apple development team was "impressed" with what he had done in his first application for iPhone. Requested, including that he send his resume after completing graduation. However, after the recent events, something tells me that the invitation is no longer standing.
