Social network site gets hit by ugly virus

A computer virus vigilante conveniently named Shrek has made the site by mistake Beautiful People accept about 30,000 requests for users who do not fit the "standards" needed to be part of the service.

Social network designed solely to beautiful people, the site maintains its high standard making a rigorous screening process among the candidates for users, keeping people away from their differentiated aesthetically delicate pages.

Beautiful people can play with lions?
The error was identified when the site had an excessively high number of requests accepted in recent times. "We suspect something wrong when thousands of new members were accepted during a period of six weeks, including many who were not exactly a paragon of beauty," House said Greg Hodge, managing director of the page, in a statement.

Problem identified, all approved for screening again - which is made by vote among members of the site - and this time about 30 thousand people were left out.

"We sincerely regret to all who had the misfortune of being accepted by mistake and believed that, even for a short period of time, they were beautiful. It must be hard to assimilate, but it is better to have a bit of heaven for a moment than ever, "the friendly executive.

The origin of the attack is still being investigated by the site administrators, who at first suspected some of the 5.5 million applicants rejected, but investigations showed that the invasion could have resulted from a former employee who implanted the virus before leaving team, in last May.
