Activision Unveils New Call of Duty Elite

After many months of speculation about a paid service for Call of Duty, Activision revealed a new service to its greatest war series, called Call of Duty: Elite. According to the Wall Street Journal, the new service will debut on Nov. 3 in November, along with the launch of Modern Warfare 3.


Call of Duty: Elite is a kind of social network for fans of the game, something that is very fashionable today. Is it possible to create communities and interact with clans around the world, chat with other members, post videos, show your status to people and play more. We can say that the Elite is a sort of "Facebook for Call of Duty", and who knows, there is even an integration with it?

The studio responsible for the service will be the rookie beachhead, and will be offered free content and paid content, such as additional maps, complete statistics of the players and the like. The head of Activision, Bobby Kotick said the Wall Street Journal that the service is designed to complement the experience of the players of Call of Duty, noting that the multiplayer modes of Modern Warfare 3 will remain free.

As yet, no one knows the value of the monthly service because it is still being studied. But expect the monthly fee is less than $ 8, the value of the Netflix service, for example.
