Check out the trailer for TrackMania 2: Canyon

One of the most played racing games on PC is for people TrackMania. In fact, the game impressed by the size of community in the world, with nearly 6 million people vying for the best times on tracks crazy and funny. Producer Nadeo invested for a long time with the first TrackMania, releasing different versions of the same game. But now, things seem to take a new direction.

After the Nadeo Ubisoft bought in 2010, his main goal was to restore the credibility of the online community of TrackMania. As part of the plan, Ubisoft has revealed at E3 2010 a platform called ManiaPlanet, which would develop shooters and RPGs customizable, like TrackMania. But that was not all. Finally it was announced a new game, brand new, 2 TrackMania called Canyon.

Unlike other versions of TrackMania, which were based on the same graphics engine, in Canyon will be different, with improved graphics system, damage to cars and the same physics that made the first game to become so famous in the world. Obviously, 2 TrackMania Canyon is just the starting point of a platform to gain traction with the community that will create millions of new and interesting tracks, like his predecessor.

For those who do not know, worth a quick explanation: TrackMania is a racing game unconventional, where there is a single-player mode interesting for not being the focus of the business. Best of TrackMania is in its multiplayer mode, where players must do the best lap times during a period of time (usually 5 minutes). Ending time of the track, players with the best lap times wins the game.

Another interesting thing about TrackMania is the almost infinite variety of avenues that we can play online. Find clues short, long, easy and difficult, with many and few stunts during the day, late night and dawn, and many other customization options. This is the expectation of 2 TrackMania Canyon, which is the first platform game ManiaPlanet. Ubisoft has also confirmed the release of the shooter's platform, dubbed ShootMania: Storm, but did not give many details for now.
