Netflix comes to Brazil next month


LG today announced some new TVs with integrated 3D at an event in Hollywood. Since nobody asked Netflix for the company to keep his secret, they ended up also announcing that the service known DVD rentals and video-on-demand which already operates in the U.S. and Canada will arrive in Brazil next month. The first gadget to have this service integrated TVs will be announced today.


Netflix does not comment officially anything, but since late last month that they can now officially operating in Brazil. Daniel Augustus, partnership manager of LG, said offering an integrated service for TVs will be the differentiator that will help sales in the Brazilian market, mainly for early adopters.

The service offered by Netflix is very similar to those that already existed in Brazil as NetMovies NET and On Demand, but its entry into the Brazilian market competition ultimately brings a long awaited and should help lower the price of tuition charged. Moreover, because of agreements that Netflix already has with the studios, it is possible that the amount of content the company offers is much greater.
