Just the old excuse of users who reported no use of Opera for not having extensions. The company finally responded to requests from its users and released the Opera 11:10 with extension support. And for lost time, the company promises to facilitate the portability of extensions for Mozilla Firefox and Google Chrome.


The initiative is an attempt by the company to increase its market share. Opera currently ranks fifth among the major browsers, with approximately 2%. In the mobile phone market, however, the browser is one of the most used, with a 26.4% share of navigation performed.

Using extensions in Opera 11 is a way of enhancing and customize your browser with new features, and its installation is very simple, like those of its competitors.

Group Guides is the best way to organize your open windows. Just drag a tab on top of another to create a group. Also, when you open pages as a background from other pages, the Opera automatically creates a new group.

More safety
Changed the address bar so you can have better understanding on the security levels of the sites you visit. Opera 11 already exhibits a clear emblem indicating the level of site security and allowing instant access with a click, the information security and reliability of the site.

HTML5 and structural changes without changing the look

Support for HTML 5 was increased in Opera 11, which are updated to offer the very latest and best in rich, dynamic web applications. Among them, especially the events update content in real time, web applications and next-generation games that support multiple users.
