Google uses seawater to cool its data center

What is the most efficient way to cool a processor or anything else without using a machine with cooling? Water! The problem is that the use of cooling water to high concentrations of computers can add to the cost of installing the whole system compared to a conventional refrigerator. Now imagine the need for refrigeration that Google has for their monstrous servers can function without a gasp.

When Google bought an old paper mill and turned off the year 1950, located in the city of Hamina, Finland, realized ir could also use the coast to channel water and cool their computers at no cost and without harming nature. The company used a large barrel, which has channeled the water, and installed pumps to bring water from the sea, a cold their computers and give back to their place of origin.

However, the water is not returned with the heat collected from the servers, since it is at an offsite location to lower the temperature so that the return can not cause damage to nature. With this attitude the company managed to eliminate all conventional cooling methods, since the water is cold enough and there is available at no cost.
