Basketball team trains with the help of an industrial robot

The technology is used these days in various ways: for records of records, for a better performance of the referee in the game or to assist in the training of athletes. But rarely see technology influencing practice so as to train basketball with robots.

Who is serving as "guinea pigs" in this experiment is the basketball team's French Poitiers Basket 86, which show that the test with what they call "enhanced amusement park has increased the spatial orientation of the team. Players have to be better placed on the court, which resulted in a more consistent defense and a more compact attack. The result? They managed to defeat the leader of his basketball league.

Some consider that the system would be more efficient if it helped the players to shoot better or perform better in the race during the Games and, in fact, the initiative of Poitiers Basket 86 would be more than a promotional one time during the effective improvement games. Anyway, it seems that the joke worked. Even if it is to just be a psychological factor against their opponents.

Anyway, you have the chance to draw their own conclusions on the video below, where we see the team of Poitiers Basket 86 in action with the robot.
