The world today, includes hundreds of millions of mobile devices. The overwhelming number generates an electromagnetic network that concerns many researchers. There are several studies that point out the evils of these waves for human body, however, the Federal Institute of Technology in Switzerland discovered a new hindered by cell phones: the bees.
The theory explained the Institute's latest report is that the electromagnetic waves released and exchanged between mobile phones can interfere with the ability of honeybees to communicate with each other. This is not the first time that research of any kind is made.
In June 2010, researchers at the University of Panjab, India, put phones next to beehives, running 15 minutes a day. In three months, the bees have stopped producing honey and queen bee production of eggs decreased by half.
Andrew Goldsworthy, a biologist and researcher at Imperial College in England, says the only solution is that companies change their cellular factories frequency before it is too late. Bees are responsible for pollination of many plants, and honey production, and nutrient, is one of the most profitable branches of farming.
As it was unknown to many people, now we need to spread the message, and perhaps with popular pressure, begin to birth the changes necessary to preserve our ecosystem.
