Apple releases program to replace the bottom case of the Macbook

Your White Macbook purchased between October 2009 and April 2011 may suffer the same problem as mine: the bottom begins to "take off" over time, leaving an ugly, as if the laptop was melting.

 In December 2010, I took my Macbook to a genius bar in California, face the person who took the notebook was in a pretty scary expression ... A few months later the problem reappeared.

The company gave explanations to users through support forums saying that the problem occurs because of the glue used in fixing the lower case of the Macbook. The exchange will be made for free. For those who live abroad and have been fortunate to have an Apple Store (really) can make the exchange in three different ways:

- Visiting an Apple Retail Store and an appointment with one of the "Genius";
- Visiting an Apple authorized service center (it has in almost every country in the world, including Brazil). Check out the list here;

- Or buy a kit to make the change yourself (you will receive a new lower case, screws, a "key-to-crack" and the instructions to make the exchange the new case).

For those who live in Brazil, the question may be: Will I be able to replace the bottom case of my MacBook White? I tried a spokesperson for Apple Brazil to answer this question. Despite the support page to be in English, she is available for viewing on Apple Brazil. This means that the program will cost in Brazil, just look for an Apple authorized service center nearest you.

The only requirement is that the Macbook was purchased between October 2009 and April 2011. This program is guaranteed up to two years (ie, those who bought in October 2009, has until October 2011 to carry out the exchange).
