E3: All about Sega Announcements

It was a time when Sega was one of "great powers of E3." The fair taking place in Los Angeles between 7th and 9th of June, was the stage for the ads featured the company. In 1995, for example, the event made its debut with the announcement of Sega Saturn game that used CDs and came to rival the PlayStation.

The problem is that time has passed and, after giving up the Dreamcast, Sega abandoned the console market. Its main games started coming out for other platforms (who imagined a "Sonic" for a Nintendo game?) And the status quo of the industry have changed. In a humorous, until today we have fans that are classified as "widows of Sega, which still await news of the company every E3.

For this edition, the company does not intend to make a mistake and broke up a good range of titles to show the public. While no more console, it's always good to remember that Sega is and that his name is still strong in the industry.
What is displayed?

Generations Sonic can be considered the highlight of E3 Sega for this, since the game also marks the 20th anniversary of the character. The most famous blue hedgehog the game comes with a new version of his adventures, which makes a time travel into the past and promotes the two-Sonics. The title blends classical and modern stage, remembering all the style of the Mega Drive was in some stages. Confused? Not so. The idea of this new game is just to please the nostalgic, not forgetting the modern versions of the character.

Generations, however, is not the only Sonic game to be shown at the fair. At least not the only one with his participation, since we have Mario & Sonic at the London 2012 Olympic Games scheduled for Wii and Nintendo 3DS. The new game puts the mascots to compete in Olympic events, inspired by the London Olympics.

Still remembering the nostalgic fans, Sega has prepared new versions of Guardian Heroes and Sega Rally, which will also be shown there. Along with them, games like Renegade unpublished Oops, coming at the hands of the studio's game Just Cause, and Rise of Nightmares, game exclusive to the Xbox 360 that uses the Kinect.
Japanese game show with his strength and Anarchy Reigns Binary Domain, both published by Sega and developed by Eastern studios - the first is produced by Platinum Games, Bayonetta, while the second comes at the hands of Toshihiro Nagoshi, creator and supervisor of Yakuza Shenmue .

Another is that there is Captain America Super Soldier game inspired by the film of Captain America, which will be released on Nintendo DS and 3DS, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Wii.

What may appear?
Dreaming does not cost anything, so the fans are waiting for a new Shenmue. Yu Suzuki, creator of the classic saga, has signaled that she could return, but it would be expensive to do so. Does Sega will resolve to invest in return for the series?

Sonic the Hedgehog 4, launched last year, had only one episode. Another hope of the fans of the character is hearing at least a few words from Episode 2. With the arrival of Sonic Generations, is the fear that the company quit earlier this saga, but as they say - "Hope is the last to die."
In partnership with the developer Gearbox, Sega announced that production of Aliens: Colonial Marines to move ahead. The game based on Alien films earned a trailer and new information, but do not know yet if it will be shown at E3 in playable form.

By similar situation is Shinobi, new game from the classic series for the newly announced Nitnendo 3DS. We have pictures, information and even cover art, but we were hoping to see something playable at the show.

Of course always room for surprises abound, and Sega should have some saved up his sleeve for this E3. We can expect more announcements of return of the classic Dreamcast and Saturn? Or perhaps the new confirmation of the Yakuza in the West End? The one with zombies, which is to be released in Japan The fans are awaiting.
