Microsoft Launches Wireless Keyboard with encryption system


Microsoft has released a wireless keyboard that has an encryption scheme for data transferred between the peripheral and the computer, preventing information typed be intercepted by malicious people. The novelty is accompanied by a wireless mouse to make the set Wireless Desktop 2000.


The security mechanism adopted by the company for such equipment, is the Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) - a system of 128-bit encryption used by the U.S. government. The keyboard also has buttons for the Windows Taskbar and a textured backing for comfort during typing.
